They flat out lied to us about being able to locate the truck we wanted. They told us they did a 700 mile radius search and couldn't find it. Well, we found it at the next dealership we went to that day. On the sales floor no less and they had 3 more in the lot. Did Vin Devers really think we wouldn't shop around when buying a 30,0000 truck.
Not only that but the quoted us price that were completely wrong. they were only offering us 1000 cash back on something that had over 4500 in incentives. We had my aunt who works for Chrysler look it up and not only the cash incentives but She found that Vin Devers is being sued by Chrysler as we speak for overcharging employees and that is what they were doing to us, we were using my Aunt discount and we priced the exact same truck at 2 other places in town and they other 2 dealerships were the exact same amount but Vin Devers was aprox 4000 more. I'm sure that other 3500 in incentives is where it was coming from. HMMMMMMM......

The sales staff was great. Managers are great guys. I've bought a bunch of cars from them. Very honest, service was good, on time, problems fixed...I would definitely recommend them.

I will never go back there again! I have never been so dissatisfied with any service in all my life (and I'm 48 years old). I have never been treated so poorly. A bunch of crooks!

I bought a new 2004 RAM 1500 truck from this Dealer. Everything started out fine, but after the deal was on the table the games began! Came back from the credit check and told me my credit rating with Chrysler Financial was a "C", so the payments would be higher than they quoted. I knew that was not true, and called CF myself to find out I had an "A" rating. I was walking out and they offered a better deal than the original one, but only because I caught them lying! I went for it because it was a really good deal, but I should have gone somewhere else. After the deal they didn't care that they promised to buff a small scratch on the lower body I noticed right after signing. They canceled two appointments I made with the body shop to buff the scratch, so I had it done elsewhere. They also didn't contact me when my plates came in, and said they were "looking for them" for over a week after my tags expired. I'm sorry I went for the better deal with these liars, and would never go back to this dealership for anything!

Sales=Fair, Service=Avoid, Parts=Don't Know, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes, Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=Yes,
This was back in 89 but it seems nothing's changed by reading to stories here. I bought a new Dakota from them. The exaperator tube(?) that's connected to the catalytic converter rusted and broke off. These things happen, which I totally understand. I temporarily welded the tube back onto the converter and took it to Vin Devers to get it repaired under the warranty. They looked at it and said they would call be when the parts came in to do the repair. I then got a notice in the mail stating that the TWO parts were in. I made the appointment which was supposed to less than a day. But when I showed up to pick it up later in the afternoon the service manager said that not all had actually came in and they were waiting for the "other" part. Well I crawled under the truck to take a look for myself. There were the TWO parts they had ordered and another part that didn't need replacing was gone! I later learned from a disgruntled ex-employee,(they have several), that the 3rd part was destroyed buy the under qualified"technician" that they had for warranty work. I then noticed a 3/4" HOLE IN MY FLOORBOARD of my 6 month old truck! I was quite upset and was told I was over reacting and on top of that I was told they had no loaner car for me. They also acted as if the issue of the hole in the floor and the fact that they had lied to me was petty. When I went back to pick it up I noticed they had only fixed my original problem, but not the hole in my floor. When I mentioned the hole they acted as if they didn't know about it even though I brought it to their attention just 3 days earlier. They then told me I would have to make another appointment to have the hole fixed. I had no choice but to take their word that they would fix it, I didn't have a 2nd car or a loaner. I took the truck back a week later to have the hole fixed. Well they fixed the hole alright. But I noticed my custom stereo system wasn't working quite right. Later that night I pulled the carpet up and found that they had BURNT the bottom side of my carpet and padding and all the wires for the custom stereo system that I had painstakingly installed! I was to compete at the highest paying car audio contest of the year that weekend (which I won) so I just fixed it myself (at this point I didn't want them near my truck ever again). This was at least $50.00 worth of wire and at least 8 hours of work. I went back to the dealer then following Monday and showed the service manager a sample of the burnt wires, pictures of them burnt in the truck directly above the hole they had welded and pictures of the burnt carpeting and padding. He acted as if I were a whiner until I began "discussing" this quite loudly around potential customers. He then said he would "see what he could do for me" and asked how much money it would take to "make things right". I told him $250.00, which was VERY reasonable (I was a kid then). He told me to come back the next day and he would have a check for me. Well "tomorrow" soon turned into about a week or two when he finally gave me a check for $50.00! I later learned that they had the same unqualified, unskilled "technician" who damaged my truck the first time "repair" the hole in my floor board. I also had numerous problems with my transmission which Vin Devers repeatedly "repaired" which usually took a week each time. Finally the last time it broke I had it sent to another dealership (Charlies Dodge) on a Friday. I called to following Tuesday just to see when it might be done. They told me they were just going to call me to come pick it up! They installed a WHOLE NEW transmission! A Few years later I was in their parts department and the parts manager heard the knocking in my engine when I pulled up and said I should get that fixxed..UNDER WARRANTY! I told him I had 69,970 miles (no lie) on it and it was only warranted for 70,000. He said no problem and they replaced the entire engine! Since then Charlies Dodge gets ALL of my business! AVOID Vin Devers at all cost!
Vin Devers BAD. Charlies Dodge GOOD!... make that EXCELLENT!

Sales=Excellent, Service=Excellent, Parts=Excellent, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes, Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=Yes,
I have purchased several vehicles from Vin Devers and they have taken care of me every time. I have purchased an Intrepid, stealth, dakota, and most recently an A4. The intrepid and stealth were used and I got great deals on the vehicles. They ran wonderfully and I actually sold the stealth 2 years later at a profit. I purchased the dakota and A4 brand new and could not have had a better experience. The sales staff sat down with me and answered every question I had. Service has been great, Work has been done pretty much on time, had to wait for parts a few times but this is at no fault to the service department. Service has not been more then expected, oil changes, tire rotations, standard services. A little clutch work on the stealth, but i was very pleased with the prices and service. I have gotten many things from the parts department and they are also very helpful. Overall this is an excellent dealership that I definitely recommend to friends and relatives. I do not understand the negative feedback on this site, maybe myself, friends and family have just all been lucky, but i doubt that. Great store, great service. Pleasurable experience.

First oil change was supposedly free, part of the dealer/customer relationship build up program they have. It wasn't free and it took over 2 hours! Service manager calls after I give them a bad rating on my survey card, and says the second oil change will be free and it will be done in less than 45 minutes. It goes great! The third oil change and tire rotation takes two hours to complete again. Again, the Service manager calls after I give them a bad rating on my survey card, and says next oil change is free and it will be done in less than 45 minutes. I also need my recommended 15,000 mile preventative maintenance done at this point and my ignition is sticking sometimes when I try to turn the key. They have the vehicle for over 10 hours that day. I was told the ignition was checked out and lubricated and the tires were rotated. When I picked up the truck, the ignition was still sticking and the tires weren’t rotated. (I had a new tire on the left rear after getting a nail in the sidewall 2 months before, and it was still on the left rear). Never again!
They are Shysters! They will try to cover up any mistake they make in the service center with a line of BS. Avoid Vin Devers service at all costs.

not willing to work with you.... they need to fill cars up with gas so when test driving them they don't run out when you are test driving them. Overall they are don't know anything about the cars they are selling.

We got a 2000 Durango there and thought everything was ok then at 36000 the crank sensor went bad. They fixed that they also said that they fixed the trans, which was having a hard time going in reverse. At 37500 the oil pump went bad driving down the highway. Chrysler said that it was sludge in the motor. I don’t know how they came to that because the oil and filter were never taken off to check. Now Chrysler says it is bad maintenance on the SUV. I did all the oil changes myself which Vin Devers said I could. Now they won’t cover the cost of a new engine. Check on the internet for bad oil pumps on Durangos and you will find a lot of them. Vin Devers said that there was nothing to be done because Chrysler won’t cover it. Do not buy one they won’t fix it at 37500. I have a piece of junk that needs a new motor good luck if you have one or buy one. Don’t buy one. Good luck.

It was by far the best experience I have ever had! they rubbed me the right way, over, and over and over. My salesman answered every question, and did everything he said he would. The service department got me in and out when I went in for an oil change and they even washed my new car. They are #1 in my book

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Excellent,
Purchased a 1992 Dakota at an auction on Friday in PA. About 500 miles down the road (800 miles from home) the universal joints started making noise. Took it to Vin Devers Saturday morning and they really went the extra mile. There was some difficulty getting the correct parts so the service department stayed open two hours after hours to get my truck back on the road. They even came in $30 below the estimate on a $200 repair.

Sales=Excellent, Service=Excellent,
I have purchased many cars from Vin Devers including a 94 intrepid and a 93 Dodge Stealth. I have had nothing but good experiences there. The people are very kind and the service was excellent. I had both vehicles in for service on a number of occasions and I was kept highly informed and described everything done to my vehicle. Sales was great. I got a great deal on both cars. For the stealth they actually went out to a car auction to find it for me. They then bought it and transported it to there dealership for my purchase at no charge and with no hassle. Overall I must say that the people make this dealership, and they couldn't have done a better job hiring more friendly and competent employees. Highly recommended dealership.

Sales=Poor, Service=Avoid,
This dealership is horrible. Avoid it like the plague LITERALLY! Once you are ripped off in their sales department, they couldn't care less about service. The dealership took me to the cleaners on the deal (I was young and stupid) then I have had several issues with my Chrysler Cirrus and none of my problems have ever been fixed by their service department. No one in any department will help you if you have an issue. But they sure will charge you! For example, I had to pay a diagnostic fee for transmission problems (third time in one year), then I had to pay $240 to have them take it apart, then they wanted to charge me $1600 for some crazy repair, I denied the repair of course, then they told me it would be $240 to put the thing together again!! Don't they have to warn you about that up front?? All of my experiences there have been bad. None have been good. Everyone I know says the same thing, "Vin Dever's is terrible!"

Sales=Poor, Service=Avoid,
Vin Devers once it sells or leases you a Dodge or other NON LUXURY vehicle stops caring or even wanting to help the consumer. They hide behind "Chrysler says that this isn't a problem" even though head gaskets go at 57,000 miles and the transmission and radiator go at 60,000 miles, There service dept. is very quick to tell you that 'You obviously have not been maintaining the vehicle regularly" and also are very sure that the complaints and problems that we have "we have NEVER had any complaints or problems like this" They basically lie because if they would look at their own records and stats on this vehicle it happens all of the time. The minute the salesman heard we were having problems and had many complaints NEVER ONCE even contacted me to see if we had any help to rectify the problem. NEVER NEVER again. Many others tried to warn me I should have listened.

I was very dissatisfied with the sales staff.  (Long list of sales staff indifference, unprepared vehicle, inattention to details, etc)

Dealership Rating:
Good sales department, good service
Fair sales, fair service
Conflicting or not enough information
Poor Service or Poor Sales Department
Avoid like the plague!!
Don't Know / No Experience
