In January of 2005, I needed to buy a new or used Dodge truck. I went to Wally
Armour to "experience the difference" of a five star rated dealership,
but they did not have any trucks I wanted to buy. Instead, they talked me into
buying a 1990 Lincoln sedan, which they claimed was "like new" and
a "grocery getter." Al Armour claimed that this Lincoln had all new
tires, new battery, and would cause no problems. (The car was not on the lot,
it was in the garage.) I purchased this vehicle, and brought it back to the
dealership within one week because my headlights would not work.
The repair staff could not fix the problem and sent me away to drive home in
the dark without headlights. Eventually, it took them two days to fix the problem,
which I had to pay for and rent a vehicle to get to work. The next week, I filled
the gas tank and drove to work. The fire department
showed up because my gas tank was leaking so badly in the parking lot. At this
point, I only had the car for two weeks. I wanted to return the car and buy
another one, but Al Armour would only offer me $1200 on trade, which means I
would have lost $2,800 on this car. I kept the car, and the next week, the transmission
went out. I drove it to the dealership, and the repair staff refused to service
it, so I had to drive it to a trani shop. Because I drove it farther, the whole
transmission needed to be replaced. It cost $1,300 dollars and would take a
week to repair. I was in dire need of transportation, so I went back to the
dealership. They still offered me $1,200 on trade for a car that wouldn't work,
and gave me $500 to defray the cost of the transmission. I could not afford
to miss any more work, and I needed reliable transportation, so I bought a new
Dodge truck from Wally Armour. I chose not to take the low trade in on the Lincoln.
To put the icing on the cake, the dealership lied on my credit application to
Chrysler Financial. I feel I am a victim of bait and switch and predatory sales
practices. I plan to take this dealership to court over this miserable and costly
experience.
Because of their unfair sales practices, Never shop at Wally Armour.

I was looking to buy a 3/4 ton diesel truck. They tried to sell me a half ton
off the lot. Why would you want to sell someone a less expensive product? Salesman
insulted my intelligence and badgered me about buying the truck they used to
plow their parking lot. On top of that, they offered $300 for my trade-in: a
seven year old half ton 4x4. They would have thrown it on their used lot for
$4500. I was never so insulted.
