First owner had truck in shop two times for rear end noise at 6,000 miles and 18,000 miles. I boought truck as a second owner at 20,000 miles. At 30,000 miles rear end started whining - Took truck to East Tulsa Dodge for repair and after trying to fix noise two times they decided to replace the complete rear end - It did not fix the whining in the rear end and a new noise that is a droning pulsating noise started. Dealership had the truck 10 different times for a total of 52 days. Drivehafts were replaced repeatedly, driveshafts were balanced repeatedly, torque convertor was replace, u-joints were replaced, overdrive unit was rebuilt, and no telling what else. After trying to fix the truck since Oct of  2004 they now say noise is normal!!!!!!The shop manager says they can't fix the truck and states there are a lot of other trucks out there just like mine. I would not return to this shop or recommend it to anyone. The Dodge 1-800 Customer Service Center is a joke. They won't do anything either the (36,000 warranty just expired, but the 70,000 is still good). Looks like a lawyer is the next step.

(Trucks ARE noisier than cars but if the noise was not normal when the service people started working on this truck, it can't be normal now. I give the dealership a thumbs up for trying to fix this problem (they gave this a good effort), but also a thumbs down for giving up. Dave F)
