We went to Norman Chrysler Jeep Dodge because of a flyer that we got in the
mail stating that they wanted to deal with us no matter what the amount that
we owed on the Truck. The flyer even stated that they would even buy the truck
if we didn't purchase one. We already had our own financing through Capital
One Auto Financing. We researched the cars that they had, even got our own NADA
rating on the truck we were trading in. We walked in there with a check for
up to $22,600 and all of the information that we needed. The salesman took one
look at us and decided that we were just a bunch of country hicks. We have dealt
with a lot of dealerships and have never been treated the way that they treated
us. They were all very rude and we were told tHat they could only give us $10,000
on the truck when the NADA says that the trade in value on the truck is $14,750.
The salesman even told us that we should go ahead and buy a car from them and
let the truck go back. He even tried to get us to go with their financing instead
of the financing that we already had. We really like the Dodge Cars and truck
and will buy another one but we will never drive almost 100 miles to Norman
or set foot in that dealership again. WE WERE NOT A BUNCH OF COUNTRY HICKS!

The Salesman was great. The Finance Manager, Ler, and Alex, who done the financing,
Mike Kirk, the Internet Sales Manager, and a lady named Tonya in Public Relations
were all very, very rude. We bought a "Big Horn Edition." The emblem
was not and is not on the truck. They did not send enough money for the TT&T.
They finally send the additional $40.00 to cover it. The Lender advised us that
they were overpaid. We purchased an extended warranty and gap insurance, as
well. We have yet to receive the paperwork on either. We have yet to receive
the "Big Horn Emblem, which WE have to pay for to have it put on the truck.
That is not our financial responsibility. Norman Dodge said to take it to a
body shop, and they would pay for it. I do not believe them. This has been the
most disturbing purchase of the 3rd Dodge we have bought. They said Friday that
they sent all of this on that day, via Certified Mail. When and if we get the
emblem, I will take it somewhere to have it put on, and I will send the bill
to them. The truck was not even clean when we bought it. As far as purchasing
another Dodge Ram, yes, we will, BUT not from Norman Dodge. Because of all of
the confusion, they were going to send us a check for $200.00. We said fine,
and thank you. It never happened. I asked them about it. They said to bring
the SURVEY to THEM, fill it out there, give them a good survey, THEN they would
cut us the check for $200.00. If that is not blackmail, I don't know what is.
All of the people I mentioned are involved in this, BUT TONYA was the one who
tried to blackmail us. This will not work. I plan on turning them in to the
Oklahoma New & Used Vehicles Complaints Department. This was very wrong
of them. They say that owe us nothing. We disagree with that. They tried to
say the over-payment was the gap insurance. When I spoke with the Lender, the
gap was included. A Big Horn Edition has the Emblem on both sides. We have neither.
We WILL get them, along with all of the extended warranty and gap insurance
paperwork. We got a letter on Friday, advising we NEED to purchase an extended
warranty. We DID THAT at the Dealership. I hope and pray that something is done
about this. How many other people have they tried to take advantage of. They
were going to cancel the gap. I said NO. They are a dirty dealership. We went
there with a draft check (our own financing) but Alex, in Finance, chose another
lender, and KEPT all of our Capital One Auto Finance paperwork AND the draft
check HE FILLED OUT. Very strange. We want what is ours and what we are entitled
to. We will not rest until we get it. Monte bought the truck for me, Cindy,
his wife. It is my truck. That is why I am writing this letter. We just want
what is ours and what we paid for.
Respectfully, Monte & Cindy Deatherage.
