Sales=Poor, Service=Poor, Parts=Fair, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes, Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=No,
I have had many horrific experiences with Blue Mountain Chrysler, in particular with the service department. I have had many problems with my chrysler vehicle and every time I have taken my vehicle in to be fixed they have either made a mistake with pricing, warranty work and dates as to when the problem will be rectified. I am extremely unsatisfied with the service provided there because I feel the staff could care less in regards to their customers problems and concerns. This past spring my zipper on my jeeps' soft top is no longer working. I have been dealing with this problem since early May and since this defect was a reoccurring problem from the past, there was debate whether or not they would even consider covering this "reoccurring defect" under warranty. It is now the end of August and I have been driving the whole summer with a defective back window that is barely hanging on to the last corner it is attached too and it is still not fixed. Along with the defective window I have experienced some damage from weather as well as theft. I no longer even call Blue Mountain Chrysler because I get no where with them so I deal with the service manager on the 1-800 number. This problem has made me want to sell my jeep and no longer purchase any Chrysler product from here on out!

Sales=Good, Service=Avoid,
1. I took the truck to have something done to a vacuum line on a recall notice it was in the shop for over an hour and the vacuum assist on the brakes has never worked right since. If the truck sets for more than 30 seconds the vacuum bleeds off of the brake assist and when you get in to start it again you have no brakes until after you start the engine.
2. I called the dealer for some information about the loss of 5th gear and was told they knew what the problem was but my truck was outside warranty coverage. There was a newly manufactured nut that would fix the problem so I got the nut and it was replaced as per the data sheet with the nut and it came off, replaced again and it came off again, replaced the fourth time and welded in position and it is now off again. To see reasons go to WWW.moparchat.com and search for "jimbiggar" then read reply on 5th gear gone.
3. I took my truck to the dealer to have a left lower ball joint replaced and a front end alignment as I didn't have the time to do it myself. The service manager told me after the truck was apart they had to replace the upper ball joint also because DC packages the ball joints in sets. I was then told how much it was going to cost and I was astounded at the price but I was starting my holiday trip the following day and required the truck to haul my 29 foot travel trailer so I was over a barrel and had to allow them to continue. The truck was in the shop for 1 hour and 33 minutes and I was charged for 4.8 hours of labor and there was only one person working on it. Their excuse was that was what the book time said it was for those two jobs. The book quoted a replacement time for replacing the lower balljoint and a price for replacing the upper but no time for replacing the two ball joints at the same time so they just added the two times together and that was what I was charged . the total bill was $497+ to change one worn and one perfectly good ball joint. Now for the front end alignment that I was also "scheduled" for, they don't have the facilities to do them at the dealer so they had to send it to another shop but couldn't get in for another two or three days. These two things were scheduled nearly a week in advance and I expected them to be carried out one after the other, asking a lot???. I spoke to see the dealer manager and he told me there was nothing he would do so I called the Dealership owner and got the same reply. I tersely explained to them that they would never again see that truck!!!!
It has never been back nor will it ever be back to that dealer. Nor any of his other dealerships because I definitely do not trust them!!!! Now I have to drive about 45 miles to a dealership that doesn't exude that thieving rat smell.
