Gresham Dodge. 9-20-07 I drove from Seattle 3 hours to Gresham dodge to buy
a used 2006 Toyota Tacoma. Before I drove down Andrew told me that the vehicle
was in like new condition, and we agreed on a price. When I got there Andrew
was not there so I had to deal with Mathew. The truck apparently had been used
by a painter. The truck has multiple colors of paint in the bed of the truck,
and on the interior in small areas. I decided to buy so we went inside for the
paperwork. I explained that I am setup with a loan From BECU (Boeing Employees
Credit Union) Mathew proceeded to collect my information SS# job info, monthly
income, terms of loan, interest rate, months of loan, and he put them on a credit
application. I told him I already have a loan setup. He said that they just
needed this info to transfer to my credit union. I was then given a cup of coffee
and told to wait for the finance manager. An hour and a half later the finance
manager was ready. We sat down and he proceeded to attempt to process the credit
app with their lender not BECU! I explained that I did not want to user their
lender, and he told me that we needed to do a complete credit ap. and paper
work with his lender just in case my lender didn't send them a check. He tried
to explain this second load as a backup to make sure that they got paid. I told
him that BECU could also wire them the money so there would be no concern over
payment. He said it was too late to call them. I informed him that they were
open till 7 pm. He then told me that they were not able to accept wire transfer!!
All in the same conversation with him we were discussing the junk fee's added
to the paperwork. They agreed to take off all junk fees but one. A $50.00 processing
fee. He told me that everyone pays this fee even him or the President. I asked
again for them to call my bank for payment, and he said they would do that later.
Finally I asked if he was insisting on the junk fee and completing a loan with
his lender. He said YES, so I got up and walked out. The sales manage also came
in the room near the end to attempt to tell me this was all normal. Total BS.
They basically had no intention of using my bank.

I would avoid this dealership because the sales people lie left and right. My
wife and I looked at a car on ad listed at $12,997 but I forgot this number
while in the dealership. Test drove the car and sales said the price was $13,995.
Offered $10,000 cash. Sales verbally accepted and later said they couldn't take
any less than the $13,995. Started to leave dealership, sales verbally offered
$12,900. Turned down offer and left dealership due to other commitments that
evening. Next day we called and pointed that the paper said the price was $12,997
and asked what their final price was. Sales indicated $12,500. On the way to
the bank, Sales called and said the price was $12,997. Wanted the car so I proceeded
to get check from bank; however bank wanted purchase order to issue check. Asked
dealership to fax purchase order, and dealership insisted doing the financing
through the bank themselves since there was evidently some type of relationship
and the dealership could get a kickback for the financing. To make a longer
story shorter, I believe that the printed add was the only thing that kept the
dealership from raising its price again at signing.
I would never do business with this dealership again.

Do not buy from Gresham Dodge. I bought a 2001 Ram. The dealer put the wrong
VIN number on the paperwork so I had to go back and get that all fixed. They
gave me a temporary trip permit until the new tags for the plates came in. When
the trip permit was about to expire I called to find out where the tags were
and was told that the paperwork had never been submitted. Went back for another
trip permit and made sure the papers got sent in. After I brought it home I
checked the fuel filter and it was BLACK. Checked the oil and it was awful.
Had the lift pump go out less than a month later. Took it to another dealer
to have the lift pump replaced since it was still under warranty. The people
there are horrible. The place is a joke.

The story that says a truck fell off a lift is nothing but a lie. I have known
the people at Gresham Dodge for 14 years and that has never happened there.
The story is a fabrication of someone who has a vendetta and a sick mind. That
is the problem with this sight you do not know who is writing the stories on
here thank you for your time.
Before you judge this dealership from these letters you should you should give
them a chance.

My salesperson exceeded my expectations with courtesy and willingness to strike
a good deal with me. Service manager addressed my initial questions and invited
me to call him any time I had more. Truck was clean and prepped when I picked
it up. All the "gadgets were explained to me. I left feeling that their
door was always open to me and they were genuinely concerned with my satisfaction.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Ok, so I needed an oil change on my new Ram so I took it in to Gresham Dodge.
When I got there I was greeted by some crack whore looking bitch. Then the idiot
lube tech dropped my car off of the LIFT!!!! I was pissed!! It messed up the
frame and the vehicle was TOTALED all because of these employees. The general
manager (I don't remember his name but he LOOKED LIKE A F**KING PENGUIN) tried
to pay me off, and I told him to go f**k himself!! These a$$es finally gave
me a used truck to drive and the insurance paid for my truck. I was going to
buy another truck from them but they wanted to charge me $10K over the MSRP,
F**K THAT PENGUIN COKE-INFESTED GM C***SUCKER!!! Go to Tonkin, at least they'll
give you invoice.

truck this dealer advertised in the local newspaper. As I was wondering around
the lot the sales manager, so he said, told me in no uncertain terms that I
must be accompanied by a sales associate to look at their vehicles. I told him
that I was leaving and would not need a sales associate. In January I visited
this lot again to look at a truck that they advertised at a realy good price.
Of course, that truck had sold. Don't they all? I found another truck that I
would have bought if we could have reached a fair price. They went the route
of "make us a written offer, please include your SS #, etc." I got up and quietly
exited the showroom. As I walked in front of the showroom to my car the sales
manager came running out, shouting "My manager said he wouldn't sell that truck
to you at that price even if he was unemployed." I would avoid this dealer even
if the manager still has his job.

experience=In december '01 I had both tie rods replaced on my durango. I brought
the vehicle home and noticed a slight rub, but thought it was the tire rubbing.
Time went on and the noise got worse, so i took it back. Gresham Dodge told
me that the tie rod was broken and that the Wheel was going to fall off, the
cost was going to be $250 to replace. Well I did not believe the diagnostic
because the Tie rods hd already been fixed. So I stopped them from doing any
work, but still had to pay for the .5 hour Diagnostic $37.50. I took my vehicle
to a place Called Jeepers in Lake Oswego (Excellent Service Here) it took him
one look to see that the tie rod end on the right side of the vehicle was actually
a LEFT side end. And the noise that I was hearing was the tie rod grinding its
way through my wheel, Which could have been fatal if it had made its way through.
so i set up a meeting with the customer service manager Kelly (probably the
worst customer service rep in History.) and we found out that the mechanic had
lied to save his ass from the mistake that he had made Originally. so they took
my vehhicle for four days and never even offered me a rental for my troubles.
i got it back after i had to contact them to see what the hell was going on.
the wheel is still messed up and i have not gotten reimbursed for the diagnostics.
so i wrote the owner a letter stating my situation. Now finally after pulling
some teeth I am getting my wheel fixed, and the false diagnostic payed for.
I think that they are getting off extremely easy, for the problems, and stress
that they have caused. No apology has been given yet. You cant trust those Grease
monkies, or anyone at Gresham Dodge, the will try to make you pay for their
mistakes.
