It's hard to rate the dealer good in sales due to the variety of boneheads I've
dealt with in my several visits to Newberg Dodge. However I rate Robert Fritscher
outstanding as a sales person. His product knowledge is excellent for the trucks.
I went to Newberg Dodge because they are closest to me, but I had no intention
of buying there. I just wanted to make some decisions on options and general
configuration. Robert spent quite a bit of time with me going over the available
options, and I don't recall having a question he couldn't answer. He found a
truck configured to my liking somewhere else and of course started with the
sticker price. I offered a small amount over dealer invoice and expected to
be walking out to shop around, but we were able to come to an agreement. If
you go to Newberg Dodge, start with Robert so you don't waste your time.

After shopping for cars online I decided to go to Newberg because they were
the closest. I was looking for a specific vehicle and saw multiple cars like
I wanted online. Of the dozen I looked at all were priced at 19,999. When making
the deal at Newberg the salesman wrote down the price of 20,??? I corrected
him to the internet advertised price of 19,999. (my mistake. I had seen so many
ads this lot was actually offering the car for 17,999. I goofed BIG TIME)When
the salesman "confirmed" the internet price he agreed that it was
offered at 19,999 and didn't correct me to the actual advertised price of 17,999.
The car went back the next day.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Don't know, bought there=No, scv_there=No,
In 12/01 I was shopping for a new Ram 1500 QC 4x4. I happen to be doing business
in Newberg one day so I stopped to shop. I took a test drive in a couple of
vehicles and discussed a deal. Got their proposal for what I wanted, it needed
to be ordered and I knew that ahead of time. They were the first place I went
to price out, and we did a lot of talking about options before I got my truck
put together. The sales guy didn't have an answer to some of my questions so
he got a mechanic that could answer them. I went to another dealer to get their
offer on my truck and it was approx $200 less. However I told Newberg I would
buy from them if they had the best price. I felt that Newberg had provided me
with some service in putting together my truck so What the heck is $200 in a
$32k deal, I went back to buy my truck from them....The salesman I talked to
was gone (of course) and the one Sales Manager that was there would not honor
the deal that had been written up, and just plain got rude about it. His price
was MSRP and not a cent lower. It doesn't surprise me that he didn't understand
why I was willing to buy it there even if I had a $200 better offer. He did
not have any principals.
In 2/03 I once again was in Newberg and needed an air filter for my 4.7L, they
wanted approx $40 for one ...... that is the highest price I found and the max
suggested. I bought one at another dealer for $19. Enough said NEVER AGAIN WILL
I EVEN CALL THEM, but I do honk and wave when I drive by in my 02 Ram which
I got for $2k under invoice.
