Avoid this dealer. Took vehicle in for a general tune up, starter replace, and
a transmission service due to a few drops of oil messing up my drive way. Vehicle
had no other noticeable problems prior to being serviced. After being serviced
I made it 40 miles and the transmission failed.
Started surging. Contacted shop immediately and the service rep Bill was more
interested in relaying liability disclaimers than to having problem checked.
Vehicle was taken back. After further diagnostics I was told that problem was
deeper in the transmission but that it was a coincidence.
Transmission deeded rebuilt. I was assigned a different service rep. Jeff. Jeff
blew the trust issue. He called me on the phone and stated that the tech was
going to work late and have my transmission rebuilt by morning. That I would
be contacted the next morning by 7:30-8:00. I chose not to wait for the call.
I live 45 minutes away from dealership and showed up unannounced. Transmission
was on the floor. Tech stated that he did not stay late and had not even portrayed
such. Was contacted that evening and was told that vehicle was ready. Picked
vehicle up following morning drove 15 miles and transmission failed again in
much the same manner as before except transmission while in drive was acting
like it was in neutral. Had to shut vehicle off and turned it back on before
regaining gears. Tow truck was necessary. Vehicle was initially diagnosed after
this failure with electronic failure. I argued if it could be electronic now
why couldn't it have been electronic before. I asked about an the probability
of having done an improper diagnostic. I was told that there was no doubt in
their minds that it needed rebuilt. Later that day I was re-contacted and was
told that the transmission was improperly rebuilt. Something about retaining
clips for the 3rd and 4th gear being in the wrong slots. supposedly the wrong
sizes and fell apart causing transmission to fail. Next day being a Saturday
I was contacted and told that vehicle was done. Picked vehicle up and all the
indicator lights on control panel were flashing. I was told that was a result
of my battery failed while waiting for the tow truck and that they must have
overlooked that problem and that I would have to come back on Monday and have
it reprogrammed. Although irritated I came back on Monday and was told that
there was nothing they could do for me. I was told that the flashing lights
indicated that I has air conditioning failure and that would cost me another
$1088 to fix. Conveniently nothing is their fault, everything is a coincidence.
I beg to differ.
I have since taken action by contacting the states attorney general, bbb, Daimler
corporate. I am preparing to take this matter before a judge. An $800.00 preventive
maintenance has cost me nearly $2500 and problems are not even close to being
fixed. Lights are still flashing, intermittent problems are showing up such
as ABS lights coming on heater blower shutting off. Have to turn vehicle off
and restart to regain those controls. Owner of the company was hand delivered
my complaint. A more in depth description of this encounter is available. Will
happily send an attachment of letter via e-mail.All of these problems resulted
within a short distance of having been serviced or while still in their physical
control running electronic diagnostics.
Vehicle before problem was in excellent mechanical condition. Now I have no
peace of mind driving it. I have to question its reliability

Bought vehicle from out-of-state there via their fleet manager through fax and
email communications so I didn't have to deal with the typical pushy, arrogant
floor salesperson. The fleet manager deals with moving volume so I got vehicle
for basically invoice plus rebates with no deposits and no games from him -
very straight forward. However, when you get turned over to the finance department
for the final paperwork is when the games start (extended warranties, security
systems, financing versus cash deal, etc.), which is probably typical of most
dealerships anyway.
Overall Dodge came up with a winner with the 3rd generations!

High pressure sales tactics, always want to rewrite a deal already struck. Service
department is very expensive. I use private mechanic and save serious $$$$.

Sales=Poor, Service=Good,
Very high pressure sales dept. Lots of game playing. After buying 2 diesel trucks
in 1.5 years (long story) they acted like I was a bother showing up at the dealer
again, and wanted to make "a little more money on this one." I was offended
and went somewhere else instead.

Deceitful service department. They will talk to into significant unnecessary
repairs. Avoid TSS.
