I am an employee here and have worked here for over 8 years. In my industry that is an eternity. No one is perfect and neither are we. I run our Internet Sales office and have for several years now. I organized this dept around customer service and building relationships with clients that last for years. Many have come back and many have referred friends and family. I invite you to experience the same lever of service. These vehicles cost many thousands of dollars. It is no small amount of money you are spending. You deserve a corresponding level of service. You can contact us via www.dickscountrydodge.com and myself or my assistant will contact you as soon as possible to address your concerns and needs. Thank You, Randy May
I hope to see you soon...

Went to this dealership to look at features, to determine our wish list. Told salesman we were going to go home, decide on a feature list, determine our buy price by looking at kbb.com invoice etc. This we did. Called him, gave him our feature list and buy price (kbb invoice minus incentives). He called us back with one on his lot that had our features, if the color was OK with us. If we came right in to buy it he would meet our price. It was a straight forward deal. We did not have a trade-in or financing to muddy the waters. We didn't need to go to Idaho to make the deal. There were no games once back in the dealership to buy the truck. We sat through the other poor salesdweeb who's job it is to sell the sealants and bed coatings, were polite and said no thanks. Done.

Took my Dodge Ram 1500 in for a water leak. Other then that it ran beautifully and was fun to drive. First three times I was told there was no leak. I was putting 3 gallons of water in every day. Then they finally took notice when I drove it into the service bay and left it running and went inside the office. After about 5 minutes a tech came running in complaining I was flooding the bay. In order to fix the $.38 part(they didn't charge for that) they charged $600.00 to pull the transmission to have room to fix it. For the next two years the transmission guy told me that although it now shifted and drove differently was just something to get used to. This made it uncomfortable to drive. Difficult and embarrassing. In reverse was dangerous to park because it wouldn't move and suddenly would jerk and jump. It worked the same going forward. THIS IS AN AUTOMATIC not a manual transmission. It jerk so much it had pulled the rear end out and it had to be replaced for $2200. The constant jerking broke many things and a few months later the transmission went out. The truck was traded away after 50,000 miles for a small $2000.00 car. We had just made the last payment on this $35,000 truck. Dodge service did this and never fixed any problems. They were just insulting, their excuse was I needed to learn to drive better.
Not only do they need to listen to the customer they need to learn to respect the customer as being knowledgeable about their vehicle and how it runs and the problems they experience. Techs are not gods and they need to let go of the god complex.

I called from California in response to an advertised vehicle. Spoke with a female sales associate, who's name I understood to be Ilene. She immediately wanted to make an appointment with her sales manager. She told me the requested vehicle was available. I told her when I could be there, 2 days away and she tried to set an appointment for Friday, without giving me the information I requested about the vehicle. I tried to call and speak with the sales manager and get the info. I was told he was in fact off until Sunday, and would be there the time she tried to set the appointment. When I asked for 'Ilene', I was told no one with that name works there. I then found out the vehicle, which I was very specific that type was all I wanted was no longer there and they had no others like it. I will not buy from them.

Sales=Fair, Service=Avoid, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes,
I've had three encounters with the service department at Dick's Country Dodge over the last 7 years. Two were under warranty and I walked their service representative through the issues to the point a child could have done the repairs. They performed adequately in that they replaced the parts that I proved were not functioning as designed.
About one half hour after I dropped my truck off for service, Dave my "service representative" called and asked me if I wanted various maintenance tasks done on my truck while it was in for it's throttle linkage safety recall. I declined. I received a voice mail a couple of hours later saying that the safety recall was completed and my truck was ready to be picked up. When I returned later in the evening to pick my truck up from the showroom receptionist, which I confirmed was available when I dropped off my truck. I was told that my paperwork and key was unavailable and I wouldn't be able to take my truck until the next morning after the service department was open.
I can only assume that I am being punished for not having Dick's County Dodge do the maintenance work on my truck. Other vehicle keys were available for after hours pickup so this wasn't a case of someone forgetting to bring the keys and paperwork over from the service department.
Worst of all, I have no idea if the safety recall was actually completed.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Don't Know,
After several trips out to Hillsboro; from Portland, I believed that I had a set price to pay over the telephone and returned for my last time. However, this was to be far from the case as within minutes of sitting down the my truck could no longer be delivered for the set price and I was going to have to pay another $500 to drive off of the lot with it.
Furthermore, during the final paperwork process, my $2,000 Dodge rebate; of which was never spoken of during the hours of what can only be called: the during the Price-War, suddenly vanished and was next included as part of my trade-in, making it $2,000 less valuable than what we had agreed upon.
These guys are pretty tricky, and I say this as someone that know something about the back office trickery of auto dealerships... They got me, and ALL I can say is, I must raise my hat to the best con-artist in town as they got me for $2,500 by the end of the day!
No,... I don't have a parting shot other to say again, I was really impressed with the amazingly slick artistry that I was slicked out of $2,500. Great Job... Dick! As for my 2002 Dodge Dakota, I like it so much that I almost would like to buy another one; and set it aside in storage, just in case the coming years are not as good as the one I have now.

I Worked with Randy May. We had the whole thing figured out and wrapped up before I ever went in. All of the financing arrangements were made before I ever went in there. The fact that I did not have a trade-in may have helped. Great service, great pricing, Great Job. Would recommend Randy to anyone shopping for a new or used vehicle.
I love my Dakota. I also bought a new Durango there from Randy. He has been there for a few years and if feels good purchasing from someone I know and am pretty sure will be there if I have a question or problem.

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid,
Had problems with transmission running poorly with 50,000 miles on motor, took to Dicks Country Dodge they told me everything was running great and in good shape (how a dodge is supposed to run) and I trusted their professional opinion that everything checked out great, paid them my $300.00 dollars, because they are the certified mechanics, only to be driving it three days later, going 60 miles and hour, and have my engine blow out, then I went back to Dicks Country Dodge, they told me that it must have been that when I drove it off the lot I did something wrong. Is it just me or do we pay certified mechanics to do quality work and have some kind of backing behind it not just "well it was fine when it was here!" and not offer to help me in any way. I strongly recommend to look the other way before going to Dicks Country Dodge for service because their technicians don't take the time and effort to troubleshoot and if saying it was fine when it was here is their guarantee, then they can keep it. What's the world coming to??? Show some responsibility.

Sales=Good, Service=Avoid,
I've never had a good experience with the service department here, and unfortunately I've had to deal with them more times than a new truck should require. If you're problem can't be diagnosed by the computer, they are incompetent a finding and fixing it. My first problem was intermittent headlight problems. They wanted to charge me $150.00 for them to tell me they couldn't repeat the problem (after letting my truck idle all day with the headlights on!). Went back a second time a about a month later, they inspected the wiring again and gave some lame excuses about how the fog lights weren't installed by factory or dealer, and were grounded improperly (they are factory installed). They grounded them and said problem was fixed. Went back with same problem 3 months later, they said it was a new problem, and would charge me again. This time they found that the switch was faulty. I could continue with so many more complaints, like how they ordered the wrong replacement transmission, but didn't notice it was wrong until they had removed the original. Took days to get the right one, while my truck sat in their garage. When I finally got it back, found that they had dented/pulled/tweaked the cowling around the transmission, and now air dirt and noise come into the passenger compartment. Often seems that there was a new problem with the truck after the service monkey's "fixed" it. I was so relieved when my warranty ran out so I wouldn't feel obligated to take my truck there anymore!

Sales=Avoid, Service=Avoid,
Attempted to buy the truck there. Matt Lane is an a$$hole. Bought my truck at Lithia in Eugene for $6K less with more option plus got out of 9 month lease for $1K. Avoid the sales department at Dick's. The service department is piss poor at best. They had my truck for about 4 weeks total in 3 different trips in a total of a 5 week period. I dropped it off clean, running good with a vibration. Left the lot with a vibration, a filthy truck that they said they would wash for $29.95, and computer trouble codes from their work performed. It was far worse than when I took it in. No rental was given during the 4 week period after asking, also ask for a courtesy wash which in my opinion should be automatic. I had to involve Chrysler to get the parts that the dealership said were not available, but were in the warehouse in Michigan and red labeled by DC. I intend on filing a formal complaint to Chrysler, BBB, and the State attorney generals office of consumer affairs. Horrible experience and now I have Chrysler setting up another appointment at a different dealer to fix the problems they created.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Good,
Sales Department - Wasn't even interested in talking to me if they weren't making at least $8,000 on the deal. Showed me a fake invoice on a new truck. Undervalued my trade-in by $3,000 and weren't flexible at all. Save yourself the time and trouble, use the net or go somewhere else.
Service Department - The service department is the only part of this dealership that I will use again. The mechanics are knowledgeable and do a good job in a reasonable amount of time. They try to keep the costs down as much as possible and aren't out to rob you blind.

I had a BAD sales experience with, Dick's Country Dodge

Sales=Avoid, Service=Good,
I would buy a Truck from "Slick Willie" before I wouldn't buy from Matt Lane!
