I took my 18 year old daughter to Jim Doran in McMinnville Or. to buy a used Civic. when we came to a neg. price for the honda I asked for a car fax, The sales Rep. Lied and stated that the manager got fired and had the codes to get on carfax. I went to work and found out that the car had a salvaged title. Nice guy to try to sell a salvage at retail. then he said he didn't know it was salvaged because a bank held the title and they don't loan on salvages. A lie 50% of retail. The sales staff at Jim doran Dodge and Chevy are crooks and you can get a better deal in salem or portland and newberge any day. avoid like the clap.

My wife and I were looking for a Dodge Mega cab. We had had a less than satisfying experience at a local dealer so we went to McMinville to try Jim Doran Dodge. We encountered two excellent salesmen-Will and Darrin. They were not pushy and did not play games. I wanted their best ballpark price on a megacab to consider. I told them I would not buy that day but consider and come back again. They complied. I returned two weeks later, my wife test drove a p.u. with the package we wanted (6 speed, cummins, diesel, tow package, etc.) We then got their best price and said we wanted to consider it for a couple of days. This was late January and a $3000 company incentive was there. They thought it would stay. When I went back a few days later on Feb 2nd, it had changed to 0% financing. They then worked with me more as it had changed from the $3000. We purchased the truck and are very pleased. A minor problem I found later was resolved at their repair shop a few weeks lat! er. Their office also worked with us very well. Overall we are very pleased with the dealership and vehicle and are surprised they only have an average rating. It should be a lot higher!
I would send my friends, relatives there to buy if they were looking for a Dodge or Chrysler.

Sales person was great. Business manager was very pushy on the warranty issue. Told him several times that we were not interested in an extended warranty. He kept throwing numbers around and telling us how 'it will pay for itself'. I nearly walked out a couple times.
Took the vehicle back the following week to have the bed liner removed and we were made to wait over an hour until they finally got to us.
We bought a used '04 Quad Cab Dakota. The only reason I chose this dealership is because they had the exact model I was looking for. I don't think I'll go back.

We purchased a 1997 Volkswagen Getta GLX on January 24, 2004. This car was purchased for my daughter. We told our sales person that dependability was very important because my daughter was driving in the country and is only 16 years old. This car has been a problem from the 1st day we bought it. We took it back to Doran 1 month after purchase requesting help or possibly they would just buy it back. They did nothing! I have now ran carfax on this car and can see we have a potential odometer roll back. In March of 2003 the car was showing more miles on it that we are showing a full year later. I now understand that we bought JUNK from Doran that has many more miles that was stated. I am very disappointed and would never buy another car from Doran. I really think the should do something about this rotten deal we got from them.
Doran in McMinnville is a rip off and should be responsible for taking advantage of people. The sales person said they would try and help or call us back with options, but never called.

Our salesperson went the extra mile for us when we purchased our 2004 Chrysler Town and Country.He showed us 2 financing solutions,and did not pressure us into a decision.We traded in a 2001 Dodge Ram,and they gave us an excellent trade-in value. Their finance officer explained each part of the process to purchase our van,and was pleasant,and understanding of all the questions we asked.We love our new van! I would really recommend this dealership,and ask for Lars!

Awesome service in both sales and service dept. Many things have changed there apparently???? Before they had some problems with staff, now that issue has been resolved. I would recommend this dealership to anyone who wants a car or needs service. For those of you who have had problems in the past, please reconsider. Jim Doran Dodge is now a better place for all departments. Give em a try!!!!!!!! - SDP

Sales=Avoid, Service=Poor,
I am having some trouble with my 97 jeep Cherokee. I called the service department and the man who I spoke to (who sounded very young) told me in his 29 years of working on jeeps he had never encountered the problem I described. I believe the problem was an issue with the manufacturer but I still need to fix it! My rod and main bearings are different sizes. You can only purchase them in sets of one size. So this means I have to purchase three sets to take care of the job! It has never had any thing done to the lower end before and I have the records since its origination. In my opinion this man was rude and uninformative! gosh it feels good to vent about this! If you wish to give yourself a headache,go ahead knock yourself out!

Sales=Avoid, Service=Avoid,
My speedo was off by 9 mph @ 55 (yes, stock wheels/tires). Salesman said it was a "safety feature" that Dodge put in all trucks. I insisted on repair and after 5 (yes five) trips in they finally said they tried some "different settings" and drove it from one mile marker to another and it was "right on". Same problem. Service dept is a nightmare. I finally gave up/refused to take it back there and put bigger tires on, this corrected the speedo problem. One time I sat there for 2 hours and finally went looking for someone only to be told "oh, we don't have the part in today, didn't someone tell you?" I could go on and on, I have so many examples of the moronic / pathetic / poor service from this place but space is limited. I love my Dodge truck though, will NEVER make a purchase at this dealership again.

Sales=Poor, Service=Avoid,
service department actually told me my truck was on the rack when I called, told me it was ready when I arrived, but had in reality not done a thing, in fact they had spent all day trying to find my problem on another truck. I have to wonder what they were telling the owner of that truck. This is a "happens to the best of us" kind of a problem, except that my truck was in for repair of a previously botched repair. And that repair took three visits to initiate, due to lack of training. The techs I had been dealing with did not know about a t.s.b. that I found on the Ramtech web page and brought to their attention.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Don't Know,
I went to buy a new Miata from this dealership and the sales person (a condescending punk 20 year old kid) just irritated me to no end. When I talked with him he kept butting in not letting me finish what I was saying and he was very argumentative. The dealership wanted to give me practically nothing for my trade and wanted full price for their car. Their sales manager was a typical too much cologne and gold jewelry idiot. I will never go back there. As far as service. Are you kidding? Why would I ever take a car there?

Dealership Rating:
Good sales department, good service
Fair sales, fair service
Conflicting or not enough information
Poor Service or Poor Sales Department
Avoid like the plague!!
Don't Know or No Experience
