In the past, the parts department has tried very hard to meet my needs. Thought
I would try service. Car has new "electronic" key; must have "programmed"
by the service department. Tried to make appointment on their web site: posted
hours do NOT match the actual hours a technician is available to work on a car.
System allows a customer to make an appointment for a time that is not available.
Ended up calling. Made an appointment for 15 minute service on 6/17/05 at 10
AM. Was there early. Left at about 12:15; was late for work; could have lost
job. I was told that the fob they ordered was wrong because the parts list was
wrong (on a 2000 Neon?). They cut and programmed 2 keys -- 1 worked, 1 didn't:
I was told it was because their key machine had a problem. Made an appointment
for 7/6/05 at 10 AM to have fob programmed and key fixed. At 12:20 service was
just taking the car into the bay. They couldn't fix the bad key so they tried
cutting a new one: the machine is still broke! (Why wouldn't it have been fixed?)
Asked for my money back for the defective key and they couldn't get approval
because the person was busy; but, they will TRY. Lost another 1/2 day of work
and could have lost my job if my employer wasn't so understanding. Highly unlikely
that I will go their again (not even parts).

I had bought a dodge charger (1985) brand new @ courtsey dodge in altoona, pa
but was a student & living in harrisburg @ the time, i traveled a fair amount
back and forth and the clutch went out @ 12,500 miles, the service dept. fixed
every thing else on the car that i didn't want fixed and did a extreme lousy
repair on the clutch. First, they didn't hook up any wiring harness after the
job was done then the car wouldn't shift into 2nd gear or when it did, it would
pop right back out. I ended up taking the car back and they said i needed more
transmission work done and that it wasn't going to be covered under warranty
either, this car was brand new and should have been covered and they refused
to have it looked at or even considered to bother the "rep" about
this repair. I even tried to speak with the owner and he didn't want to be bothered
because "I did not buy the car from Him" !! that was the last time
i even considered going to that dealership.

Bought a 2001 Intrepid with 15,000 miles. Took it in for a minor interior problems
and they sent me to their " used car department." Brought in for inspection,
radio problem and power window repair and received the car back in worse condition
than I took it in - inspection sticker scrapings all over the dash board, power
window still not fixed, door then began to rattle after they took it apart to
"fix" power window and they forgot to order a new radio. Three weeks
later, paint was peeling and they told me it wasn't covered by warranty because
it was touched up before I bought it from them. I told them they couldn't prove
it. Ended up paying to get the paint fixed. Stay Away!!!!!!!!! Don't go near
Brenner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to dealer to set up appt. 2 weeks early, for hitch recall & check if
oil leak at vacuum pump was under warranty. Service advisor Andrew said that
they stocked the parts for the hitch. Went to pick up truck to find they had
to order hitch parts, they had 2 weeks to get parts they knew they needed. They
also charged me $89.00 to tell me the oil leak was coming from the vacuum pump
and its not covered by the 100,000 mile engine warranty. Didn't I tell them
where the leak was when I scheduled the appt.? YES . the also told me they would
send me a letter when the part arrived. I had to go off on them to get them
to find a hitch, at another local dealer, for the next day. The service dept.
at Brenner is so incompetent and they lied to me while I was dealing with them.
They didn't seem to care that the truck was sold to me by the dealership and
they lost my whole family's business. My family has owned 10 Chrysler products
in the last 26 years. Too bad!

Sales=Fair, Service=Avoid,
I wouldn't recommend Brenners to my worst enemy. The service department has
a lot to be desired. Management in the service department is very incompetent,
untrained, and very poor liars. Phone calls are never returned from the service
department, the service representative, or the OWNER for that matter. I would
never purchase a vehicle from a place with such poor management. The problems
I had should of been resolved there, however I ended up taking my truck to a
different dealership with a OUTSTANDING service department and it was repaired
with one visit. I am a true believer in Dodge products, just not Brenners.

After 2hrs to order my truck It came in in 4 weeks. When we went to pick it
up they wanted us to pay the price increase after the deal was made. After 2
more hrs we finally got the truck for the agreed price. Today I get paper work
back from the state that they didn't fill out completely. Luckily we only live
a few miles from the Penndot building. Ran up and did the paper work right there.
I wouldn't recommend BRENNER DODGE in Harrisburg PA to anyone.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Don't Know,
I looked a a 2001 dodge Dakota at this dealership. I liked the truck and the
price was within reason, but the truck was filthy dirty inside and out, stuff
all over the floor, nuts bolts sticky plastic. When I asked the salesman about
the nuts and bolts, he laughed and said spare parts! The truck smelled like
a fish market on the inside. I called them back the next day and asked them
would they take the truck in and clean it up so I could bring my wife down to
look at it. They asked me," was I going to buy it"? I told them that I didn't
know until I showed it to my wife! They Said "We can't clean it up unless we
know for sure if you are going to buy it, because it costs money to have their
men wash and clean a car". I did not buy a truck there, because I thought if
this is the way they treat a customer before a sale, I can feel assured they
will treat you just as badly after. I went the next day and bought a new Dakota
from Pritz Dodge, and I am really glad I did!
