Some how I misplaced the key to our 2000 Jeep Wrangler. This is NOT a highly sophisticated key! There's no computer chip. There's no keyfob built into the key, it's just a basic lock/unlock your doors, start your engine key! The same kind you see at WalMart or your average part distributor for around $0.99. Or ranging in price between $0.99-$4.99! Country Chrysler Dodge Jeep charged $13.99 plus tax, tags and dealer prep destination and process fee! Alright maybe not the tags and dealer prep and process fee. But $13.99 for a common everyday key. Chrysler only makes 15 different keys for the 2000 Model year! Absolutely amazing!!! They didn't even test fit it to make sure they cut it right!
My advice to anyone who only has one key to their vehicle, go to WalMart or some place and get another key cut before you have to contact the dealer! And if you have 2 computer chipped keys, get another chipped key cut immediately. You can program the 3rd key without having the dealership hook you up to the computer!

Do not bring your Cummins here, the mechanics do not know a piston from a hole in the ground. All in all cost me $1300.00 to get my truck back due to their mechanics not diagnosing the broken lift pump, thus burning my VP44 to a cinder
