Sales=Fair, Service=Avoid, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes, Service Advisors
are unqualified to clean bathrooms, service manager is more interested in protecting
his finances than in customer service. I am victim of Chrysler oil sludge problem
in my 5.9 V8. My truck lost oil pressure while I was driving on congested road
and developed bad bearing knock before I could get off the road. Dealer pulled
oil pan and found sludge in oil pickup, pulled only 1 rod bearing, was scored
but not badly. Even with 68,000 miles and extended warranty, Chrysler would
not cover any repairs (blaming it on me due to presence of sludge). Dealer recommended
replacing oil pump and cleaning oil galleries, repairs did not fix problem (until
lost oil pressure and had a badly knocking bearing after over $800 worth of
repairs. Dealer still forced me to pay for repairs just to get my truck out
of there. Wanted $5500 for reman Chrysler long block and $4100 to install engine
from junk yard. I found a newer engine in a local junkyard, they installed engine
out the door for less than $2K. Service experience was a Mongolian cluster,
service manager knocked a whopping $50 off my bill; am suing dealer to get my
money back and joining class action suit against Chrysler for defective engine...
My last Chrysler product and DEFINITELY my last visit to any of Shults dealerships!!!

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Poor,
I have been maintaining my truck here since new....basically since it's a few
blocks from home. The service department is a disappointment. They often promise
my vehicle by a certain time and never call...when I go to get it it hasn't
been started yet. Fortunately the waiting area is fairly comfortable with a
TV. The counter agents are business-like to the point of seeming a bit unfriendly.
I suppose their prices are mandated by Chrysler but they seem a bit high compared
to my last Ford P/U.

Sales=Excellent, Service=Poor, While keeping an open mind,I have been in
for service six or seven times. I now have to conclude that I will not be getting
that "Hi,I'm happy you(the customer)are here today since my(service dept.)would
not exist otherwise".I was treated like gold at my previous dealer and found out
what a real SERVICE dept. is like. If Benson Lincoln/Mercury sold Dodge Rams,I
would have been there yesterday buying one. Service should take a lesson in customer
relations from the parts manager at Wexford. He sends you out the door with a
"I'm glad I stopped in"kind of feeling.
