Discovered a transmission problem around 35,000 miles. 2nd gear began to slip at low rpms and on occasion wouldn't shift at WOT out of 2nd. Highway driving back from TX to SC resulted in truck stalling at 70mph. Anything over 70 and it would shudder and lose speed. Of course, besides the 2nd gear slippage, all other problems went into submission when I got home. Took my truck in as soon as I got back to Charleston and dropped it off. I explained to the techs the problems and a couple other minor things, such as squeaking of the front end, a cracked dashboard and a strange buzzing noise coming from the AC/heater fan. Held on to my truck for 3 weeks (thankfully I had two vehicles at the time) and came out with no diagnosis for the transmission, said there was nothing to be done about the squeaking and took 3 weeks to change my dashboard. I left with a new dashboard, a squeaky front end, a buzzing fan and a confused look on my face... The one thankful thing is that they actually didn't charge me for anything... at least there's something to be said about Altman.

Recent visits to Altman for service--very good. Problem diagnosed and fixed very quickly. Understood what I was talking about and listened to me. Actually wanted my input.
