We bought a 2002 Stratus from McKinney 10/02. It has 19000 miles on it now and has been back for service at McKinney three times and two times at Lake Keowee for the same problem......popping in the front-end while braking and turning at the same time (either direction). In 04/03 Lake Keowee replaced front tie-rod ends (didn't fix it). In 07/03 McKinney replaced front brake pads (didn't fix it). In 11/03 McKinney says front brake calipers and slide pins are extremely dirty thus causing the noise. I reminded them that noise began with less than 5000 miles on vehicle. I asked if I should expect to be cleaning calipers and slide pins every 5000 miles. McKinney said YES!! Lake Keowee said that was the most ridiculous thing they have ever heard and NO VEHICLES' calipers and slide pins should have to be taken off and cleaned every 5000 miles. I am currently researching South Carolina's Lemon Law statutes to see if I can return it to McKinney. I also make a pont of it to tell anybody shopping for a new car to avoid McKinney like the plague.
