After pulling up a list of Dodge dealers via the Daimler-Chrysler web site,
I set out to make some calls in an effort to locate a specifically packaged
Quad Ram 2500 4X4 Diesel. I spoke with a rep for this dealership over the phone
who assured me that he had not one, but two of these trucks meeting my specs.
I left the next morning and made the nearly 70 mile trek from my home outside
of Augusta, GA through the back roads of SC. I arrived only to find that the
rep had LIED about having either truck. He then tried to talk me into a GMC
Duramax that was a model year old but had never sold. They actually had the
nads to ask sticker for it! Needless to say, I got back into my ride and left
with steam rolling off my head. I drove all that way for a lie.........

Sales=Avoid, Service=Don't Know,
I asked the dealership to provide me with the best price/deal on a new 2002
(2003's are now available) Dodge Ram quad. The salesman showed me the last '02
they had and went to the sales manager to work up a deal. When he came back
with a price and a trade-in offer in writing I liked what I saw. I left and
came back with my wife and was told they could not sell the vehicle at what
they told me. They made a mistake! It is now $7,000 more. Of course they offered
to "deal" on several 2003 models but I insisted I wanted the first offer. They
would not budge even though I explained they did same thing 2 years ago (only
few hundred dollars difference then) and I purchased the truck that time. This
time I have turned it over to the SC State Dept of Consumer Affairs. Why do
we continue to put up with this kind of treatment?
