Warning!!!! Do not buy from this dealership.. I cant speak about the entire
sales team, but I can speak for the mgt and some particular salesmen. They are
crooked.. period. They lied to me about rebates, special parts ordered for my
truck, and the service time. Long story short.. My salesman called me with an
offer and I accepted. I went to purchase and pick up my truck. I had a $500
rebate from my insurance company if I purchased a dodge vehicle. I gave it to
my salesman when we were filling out the paperwork and he said he would get
it filled out and give it back to me. Also we had made an agreement to order
new tires and trade my old ones in. Also i was told that I could have some parts
installed for free if I just buy the parts.. All this was part of my deal...
so i thought.. Well as far as my rebate goes.. I forgot to get the form back
from him before i left, so i went in when i got my tires put on and the parts
and asked for my rebate form.. well the salesman wasn't there and the finance
manager told me that I had been given my rebate.. I said bs.. i need the paper
to send into my insurance company.. he told me that they sent it in and that
my rebate was taken off my purchase price.. I was furious.. The salesman had
obviously upped my purchase price from what he quoted me and then taken the
rebate off so that the price he quoted me would be the same.. and there was
nothing I could do cause the salesman quit or got fired one the day after I
bought my truck.. As far as the tires and parts.. Well they ordered the wrong
tires.. and i was stuck with them.. I sent in a fax that was specific as to
what tires.. and what do you know.. they don't have any record of that.. the
parts that were installed with free labor.. well that cost me $200 labor...
not to mention.. the time to install the parts is like 2.5 hours or maybe 3..
well my truck went in at 7 am on a thursday and was promised by 2 or 3.. well
at 4 they weren't finished and they couldn't tell me if they could finish that
day.. so i just said keep it all night since it's a 45 min drive for me.. well
on friday... they didn't get finished with my truck until 5.. just plain ridiculous..
I don't even think they started until midday friday.. but i have no proof of
that.. Just a warning.. good luck.. I hope they lose their 5 star rating and
shut down.. You just don't treat people like that.. It just gives all dealers
a bad name and much worse than they already have as being crooked and deceitful...

Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=Yes,
I purchased my 1998 Dodge conversion van in Charlotte, NC. Since the purchase,
I have moved to Spartanburg, SC and decided to allow Spartan Dodge as my service
provider. I have exhausted my warranty through their services and have continued
beyond the expiration. However, past April I left the van for some routine maintenance
and due to improper cooling, asked that my Air Conditioning be checked as well.
I received a call from the service dept. later that day informing me that the
compressor was bad and needed replacement at a cost of appx. $1700. Due to the
timing, I opted to call later for rescheduling this service. However, I have
recently discovered by pursuing another opinion elsewhere that the compressor
is in good operational condition and by adding Freon remedied the problem. I
have invested several thousand dollars in maintenance with this dealership and
my confidence level has dropped tremendously. I am concerned that other services
have been performed that may not have been necessary. To be quite honest, I
can not feel at ease by choosing to continue with them. Therefore, all future
service requirements will be directed elsewhere.

I was suckered in to buying this car when I was suppose to be test driving it.
This 2004 Chrysler Pacifica has been in the shop nine times for the same thing
along with other major issues and the service department or Chrysler don;t know
what is wrong or how to fix it and the owner (Tim Brown)and GM (Lawrence Brown)
told us they were not gonna do anything for us we could like it or lump it!!!!!!!!!!!
Pretty bad way to do business for Five Star Dealership!

Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=No,
I first went to the dealership to purchase a Nissan Pathfinder that they had
me sign all the documents that I was purchasing the car and to find out two
wheels later they wanted to much for the suv and no one would finance it and
they wouldn't come down on the price so they did the same paperwork as if I
was purchasing three other vehicles that I drove and the last one I drove overnight
was a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica that the next day I received a call from the bank
asking for more info to fund the deal and I told her that I was only test driving
the vehicle and that it had some major problems and that I was returning it
and she told me that she would not fund the deal and to let her know when I
returned it well to make a long story short she funded the deal anyway and we
new that the finance people at Spartanburg Dodge and the bank were very close
because they told us so we know that the girl from the bank called them and
told them we were not going to get the car and they had her fund the deal before
we got back to return it so I am stuck with it. As I mentioned above it had
major issues well it has been in their service department 7 times for the same
problem and other issues and no one in the service department or Chrysler know
how to fix it and the dealership offered to buy it back on 9-29-06 and then
the next day the general manager Mr. Lawrence Brown said that he talked to the
owner Mr. Tim Brown and he said he wasn't gonna do anything for us and that
we could like it or lump it! ( and they call themselves a Five Star dealership!!!!)
So we have ourselves a Lemon to pay for for 6 yrs that we also got ripped off
on the price so we are so upside down that we can't even trade it in on something
else! You would think that the dealership and or Chrysler would do the right
thing to satisfy their customers but we found out that they don't!
How does a dealership get a Five Star Rating?????

The sales staff is great, however after you purchase a vehicle you have to deal
with the service department staff that try to make you feel stupid when you
find out there is a problem with the vehicle. They will put you off and tell
you anything until the warranty runs out. I will never purchase another vehicle
from Spartanburg Dodge.

In November I brought my truck in for servicing and when it was finished I checked
and the oil filter had not been changed. In December I had it serviced again
and wanted the tires rotated and checked. I had marked the tires and when I
came and picked up my truck I was told that they rotated and balanced and that
was what was making the front part shimmy. Well that was not done. I took my
truck to a local Grease Monkey and the guys changed the oil balanced and rotated
the tires and even changed the air and oil filter. The truck runs like brand
new. I work at the hospital right up the street and I wonder now how many times
this has been done to me. Before now I would have nothing but high praise but
what am I to expect from here on out.
I want to keep going with dodge I have tried every other make but like the dodge
my problem is am I expected to check behind when I send this in for service
or continue to service outside

What a great dealership! I can't say enough how this dealership has been changed
around. I bought another vehicle before Kevin Doehring became the new GM, and
it was a horrible environment to be in! I actually went through the internet
shopping and I had just put in a request to get a price quote on a vehicle and
I was contacted right away by their internet manager, i believe her name is
Nicole. What a wonderful person to deal with through email. She replied quickly
and didn't pressure me. I also got a call from Mckinney Dodge and a gentlemen(i
guess their internet manager) was so rude and forceful. Spartanburg Dodge, Kevin
and Nicole were great to deal with, keep it up! buy a dodge!

The Sales department is great now with Kevin the GM being there for about a
year and Tony Bennett is a great service manager and I have been satisfied with
both of them. I have bought several vehicles since 1992 and have been satisfied
for the most part but have been satisfied completely since Tony Bennett took
over the service department. I have seen him deal with many customers and seen
him go out of his way to satisfy each one if at all possible. I know I am satisfied
and probably going to buy another vehicle from them in a few days. I recommend
that you give them an opportunity to help you with your vehicle needs-whether
sales or service. I like going there since I feel like I am being dealt with
by a professional and proficient staff who are knowledgeable of their products
and considerate of your time.

I bought a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 and i will never return to this dealership or
recommend them to anyone. they sold me the truck promising a payment of $375/mo
but three weeks later, after putting me off for three weeks raised the price
to $440/mo. then they promised to fix all the scratches and the HOLE in the
dash, but of course they fixed one scratch and told me that they would not fix
the dash because they were not putting anymore money in that truck because they
had already lost money on it. i would strongly suggest that you stay away from
Spartanburg Dodge.

Bad Brakes after only 2 months of driving Car. Dealership would not make it
good. Even after they kept the car 3 days after purchase to check it out.

I have bought 6 new vehicles there in the last 8 years and have been happy with
the sales and service. The good service is even better since Tony Bennett took
over as service manager about a year and half ago.

Sales=Avoid, Don't Know,
This dealership has treated me like I'm a complete and total idiot after I bought
the car. I called to have a warranty canceled, gave them all the information
they needed and they were to send me a check in the mail. I waited for two months
and gave them a call back asking where the check was, they said that I never
gave them the mileage for the car and they couldn't process it. I told them
that I had given them that and had the fax confirmation that I had faxed it
to them. It has been the biggest, rudest hassle I have ever been through.

Sales=Excellent, Service=Poor,
My son bought a 2000 dodge ram back in January and it caught on fire about 2
weeks ago under the hood. Supposedly it was the fuse box. First it was to take
2-3 days. Next it was that waiting on parts. The last thing was 1 more day Which
was Thursday 7/6. I still have not heard anything about his truck. He feels
that this is a lemon and should be given a new truck since this truck was only
about 5 months old when it caught on fire.
