Sales=Don't Know, Service=Don't Know, Parts=Don't Know, bought there=No,
scv_there=Yes, Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=No,
I have a Neon R/T. I got a deal from an acquaintance, but I have been soured
to the deal. Almost immediately I noticed that the alleged gas mileage is nowhere
near the advertised rate. I've been to several dealerships inquiring about the
poor mileage and everyone tells me that there must be something wrong because
I shouldn't be getting 10L/100K. Yet when I've taken it in to be checked no
one can find anything wrong and they blame it on how I drive. I've been tracking
the mileage and driving nice making sure the tire pressure is just right, used
premium gas and oil,
everything that was recommended to me to improve the mileage.... and it still
makes no difference. My former car, a beat up Ford Probe kicked it's but in
power AND gas mileage. I've driven mini-vans on the hwy with the air conditioner
on and received the same fuel efficiency. But that is a rant & a digression.
Earlier this year a piece on my sunroof busted. I took it to the dealership
in North Battleford who supposedly fixed it. I had since moved to Regina and
noticed that there was now a leak. I asked the guys at Crestview to check it
out while doing a thorough once over on the whole car as I was nearing the end
of my warranty. No surprise they found nothing wrong with the vehicle and couldn't
tell me why I was still getting such bad mileage (again it must be something
I'm doing... whatever!). Anyway, back to the sunroof and inspection. The poor
dears couldn't detect a leak though I have a number of times since. Also, they
can't figure out why my car has trouble shifting into reverse or pops out of
gear once in a while. All they say is "Gee we didn't notice a problem".
Translation: You don't know what your talking about little man leave us alone!
What did they think I was lying? IN THIER DEFENCE, I've received the same load
of 'stuff' from other dealerships so they aren't any worse than the other shysters
in this regard.
The worst to me was the terrible service I received after. I traveled to North
Battleford again that week and what did I discover when I gassed up? They didn't
put the oil cap back on the vehicle AND the level was a liter BELOW the fill
line. Fortunately nothing bad seems to have happened as a result, but I had
the attendant make note of this on my receipt anyway. When I returned to Regina
I phoned BOTH Chrysler dealerships asking (anonymously)if this may have caused
any damage I was cautioned to take the car in immediately and get it checked
out as this could have caused some serious problems with my engine. Yet when
I went into Crestview and confronted them on their negligence they brushed me
off like I was over reacting. Of course I wasn't smart enough to get the names
of the techs I talked to so they denied saying such a thing. They finally brushed
me off by saying that the Manager was away on holiday, but they would leave
my complaint with him and he'd call me back when he got in the next week. Which
of course didn't happen.
Did I get an offer for a free oil change? Did they reimburse me for the oil
I had to add after paying for an oil change? Did they have an answer when I
asked them how I was supposed to trust that they inspected my vehicle properly
in the first place (which by the way took almost 8 hrs to complete when I was
told it would only take half that time at the most)? NOPE!
So how do I rate Dodge in general? Buy foreign! Don't waste your money on these
guys! How do I rate Crestview? Negligent, deceitful, condescending.. However,
my sucker-born-every-minute gene insists I give them another chance.

Sales=Excellent, Service=Avoid, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes,
my wife and i bought a used 1999 dodge caravan platinum edition there for approx
$13,000 within two week the vehicle showed signs of hesitation upon start up
that according to the information my wife described to me sounded like the transmission
slipping. the first two attempts by the service dept to rectify the problem
were good but when the vehicle was brought back a third time to have it looked
at and left over night with them, they could not find the problem. so i took
it for a drive myself the following day to find that the problem actually resides
with the engine not the tranny, upon conversing with our sales person brock
about this on approx the 20th of july i was told that they would get back to
me which they have not. is it not funny that they would be eager to sell a used
vehicle for a goodly sum then avoid fixing the motor as it is past their one
month 2500k warranty even though the problem started within two weeks.
when i contact them tomorrow morning (as my wife who travels with my four kids
is afraid she is going to get rear ended or side swiped due to the sudden hesitation
that occurs upon pulling out to a main street)if they don't fix it, I WILL MAKE
SURE THAT ANY AND ALL PEOPLE WHO ASK US ABOUT OUR VAN KNOW NOT TO DEAL WITH
THEM!!!!!

Sales=Fair, Service=Don't Know, bought there=Yes, scv_there=No,
I drove 4 hours to Regina to purchase my car (used 2003 Hyundai Tiburon). When
I was just getting ready to drive it off the lot I realized that it had less
than 1/4 of a tank of fuel (How cool is this?), so I went back to my sales man
- he said he would go and fill it up for me. When I got out on the highway and
looked down, the tank was only at 3/4. Even better yet, the other day I was
outside cleaning my car and I was going to top off the windshield washer fluid,
I also checked the oil just to be safe. Good thing someone was paying attention.
The oil in my car was filthy, it was most definitely not serviced before it
was sold to me, which is pretty disheartening considering the oil change would
cost them next to nothing. Anyway, I am enjoying my car, just not as pleased
as I could be with the dealership's customer relations.
