Sales=Poor, Service=Don't Know, Parts=Don't Know, bought there=Yes, scv_there=No, Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=No,
I traded my 2000 Dakota for a 2004 Dodge 1500. When I purchased and signed the paperwork for the new vehicle I was told several times by the salesperson that there was a special 0% interest on the vehicle. I had not even made the first payment on the truck when I was looking at my paperwork that I was being charged 16.5% interest. When I contacted the dealership I was told that it was my fault for not reading the paperwork, my trade-in had already been sold and they would not lower the interest on the truck. I told them I had been viciously lied to and that I refused to pay 16.5% interest on a BRAND NEW vehicle! I took the truck back to the dealership and told them I wanted the situation resolved. The manager refused and said it was my word against theirs and that if I left the truck there it would "look bad on my credit". Needless to say my once nearly perfect credit score is and has been shot as a result of this incident, I walked away with no vehicle and a repossession on my credit report.
The truck didn't even have 1000 miles on it when I returned it. The trucks price was $28,000 and after the repossession the sold it for ONLY $18,000. RIDICULOUS!!!

(NOTE for others reading this: The best time to check the paperwork is before you sign! Never assume that what you hear is correct. If the sales person was mistaken or lied, it's too late to go back after the paperwork is completed. Once a vehicle depreciates on a non-linear scale and generally, the value drops by at least 25% as soon as you take possession. Once the dealer has signed a vehicle to you, you are stuck! Let this persons experience be a warning. Dave F)

After asking about 2001 Intrepids advertised on the radio, the salesman informed me "they are all gone," and they were "rental cars." He then showed me a 2000 Intrepid which he said was "privately owned." I test drove and purchased. A few days later, I found paper work for a nationally known rental car business. The car I had purchased was indeed a "rental car." When I complained, I was told that the salesman "did not lie," which is saying I "lie." Also, I was charged 1/3 the cost of the vehicle for the extended warranty ($3,000). I will never deal with Burgin Dodge again. Service has been "okay" and staff in the service department are very nice.

got a 2002 dodge dakota it got rail dust in the paint. they said they could repaint it but it would lose 3000.00 resale value, it got a pot sound in the front wheel. the seat has come apart. they fix it now it sounds like it coming loose. Don’t buy from Burgin Dodge in Knoxville Tenn. If you want a good deal on a good Dodge go to Morristown Tenn.

I was looking for a short cab Hemi Ram 1500; Burgin Dodge did not have one, but went beyond call and duty to try to locate one. Friendly staff, no pressure, honest (showed invoice prices and options on their computer screen). Recommended.

Sales=Excellent, Service=Excellent,
The only part of this dealership That I have found to be lacking is their paint and body shop...otherwise excellent in every way.

Sales=Excellent, Service=Poor,
Paint and body shop is a joke! 22 days to paint my Ram 1500 and now it is Orange pealed so bad that the truck was in better shape before the warranty paint job. The manager said they would have to wet sand and buff which would leave swirl marks. BEWARE!!!!!! Also the mechanics can not resolve a miss in the truck. Arbitration is a joke!!!! I have a Truck they say can't be repaired but they refuse to buy back.

owned by one man and he has been in business for 35 years... his office is on location and he personally comes down stairs and meets his customers as well as checks out his shop.. most of the employees have been there for several years as well.. Lucky for me this is the best car-truck dealership I have ever had anything to do with ever...

Sales=Good, Service=Excellent,
The service department did a great job finding the popping sound that emanated from a bad bearing in the steering column. My past experience with SOME OTHER dealerships has not been good with problems of this type, either they can't find the problem and throw parts at it, or instruct you drive it until the problem becomes serious.

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid,
I took my car in for a "minor" repair job. They said they found some "other" problems and took the radiator off my car WITHOUT EVEN CALLING ME to do this other "repair" work. When I complained about them not calling to get permission, the OWNER came down to the garage area and told me I could either pay for the other so called repairs (the ones they did NOT have permission to make) or I could have my car towed out of his garage. Women beware!!! These are dishonest people!!

Sales=Excellent, Service=Excellent,
I have bought four Caravans and one 3500 Ram diesel from Burgin Dodge. I ask a lot of questions prior to a purchase, and they have copied large parts of sales information, etc. for me to study. I shop around and they are invariably either lowest or next to lowest. I have ordered vehicles through them, and purchased off the lot. They order stock vehicles better equipped than other local dealers. Their service manager has been there a long time and has always listened to my problem/complaint and resolved it to my satisfaction. Noises I hear they also hear, find, and solve. I had a problem with one salesman, and when I went back to complain a few days later he had already been let go - "didn't fit in with our philosophy". While no dealer is perfect, I am a satisfied customer.

Sales=Good, Service=Good,
Ordered my Ram 3500 from this dealer after a fair amount of price negotiation. The salesperson was frank and helpful. Found that due to their size and volume, their allocation allowed them to turn a special order quite quickly. I found this to be true. Have used the service department only twice. Truck's first oil change (free) and tire rotation went on uneventful. The second was a drive-in "zero oil pressure" gauge emergency. Was diagnosed quickly and the oil pressure sending unit replaced without incident. Was back on the road within an hour. Bear in mind I arrived without appointment and very close to closing time. So far, I am impressed. Owning a diesel brings its own unique problems when it comes to dealer service staff capabilities. At my last visit, they had a diesel mechanic (former Cummins employee) on staff. Didn't meet all the salespeople at this dealership, but I can say Doug Clark is worth a visit.

Dealership Rating:
Good sales department, good service
Fair sales, fair service
Conflicting or not enough information
Poor Service or Poor Sales Department
Avoid like the plague!!
No Experience / Don't Know
