Just take my word for it and don’t step foot on this car lot. You can’t
get out of your car without a golf cart behind your car so that you can’t
move until they get you out of the car. The service department is a laugh. And
they will promise you the world until the papers are signed.
Do not buy a car from Carl Gregory. Drive a hundred miles and pay a thousand
more dollars to get the service and respect that you deserve.
Don’t forget there are others out there that would love to have your business
and not call you 5 times in an hour to see if you have made your mind up on
the car that you want.

Our first new SUV, a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee we bought from there in 2000 -
we always had great service from those folks. We just bought a 2006 Chrysler
Town&Country touring from them and was very pleased with the sales lady
that helped us (Kellie Eads). We bought it at a great price. Our next new car
we will check these guys out first. We tried other dealers but Carl Gregory
worked with us to get what we wanted in a van, not just what they had on hand.
That means a lot, but they went the extra mile to what we wanted to pay for
the van. Thanks a lot. A+ DEALER

In Aug. 05 I purchased a new Neon sxt. I have regretted it since day one. First
I was told I would receive 2,500.00 rebate or 4.9% financing, which I did Not.
I have had to have it serviced twice already, The 1st time they said it had
a bad fuel Pump, Not a week later I was back again This time it needed a new
gas tank. I went to the General Manager the first time and his reply was we
got our Money, That car is your problem. All I asked was to let me change it
out with a different car. I had already contacted the finance com. and they
agreed to do just that. Needless to say I still have the same car that i just
got back after they had it for the second repair that took 9days to fix. I don't
think you have a rating bad enough that could cover how I feel about this dealership.

I bought a Dodge Intrepid at Carl Gregory at North Roan on the Kingsport Highway,
kept it up and maintained. I began hearing noises from the engine and had it
towed to their dealership and they told me that the life expectancy on the Intrepid
motors was only about 60,000 miles and that it would cost me about $6500 to
have a new motor put in it. I still owe $11,000 on it and cannot afford to put
that kind of money in it. So, my car is sitting over there still yet and I am
still making payments and having to borrow a car to drive. An employee there
told me that there were already 5-6 Intrepids sitting there with the same problem...bad
motors...I would advise no one to buy an intrepid there... and since they refuse
to help me out with this problem..I would advise everyone not to do business
with them again!!!! Now, we all know that the life expectancy of any motor should
be well over 100,000 miles and close to 200,000...we are not as stupid as they
may think.

Stopped by this dealership with my son and was immediately jumped on by no less
than 3 salesmen, told them I just wanted to look at some used trucks. When I
found a truck I was interested in the salesman told me he didn't know how much
the vehicle was priced at so I asked who would know and he said his boss would
know so he went to ask. When the salesman came back he said his boss wouldn't
give me a price till I test drove it. I took the test drive and then went inside
to see how much the vehicle would cost but first they wanted me to fill out
a credit application. I would not fill out the application before I knew the
price of the vehicle so the sales boss named John finally came over and asked
if I was serious about buying the truck or just wasting his time. After that
I had had enough so I left and bought a used truck at the Toyota store next
door (no pressure and I was told the price up front).

After purchasing 4 vehicles from Carl Gregory, I have had my last dealings with
them until the management there changes. The new management is a joke and is
completely unsatisfactory with my concerns. I have always had nothing but good
service and enjoyed working with them and as troubles arose with one of our
vehicles it was always taken care of and I had something to drive to get me
to work. Today all of that changed! As the new management steps in, the days
of the good ol' boys have been pushed out. If they wish to continue a good relationship
with their old customers, they need to step up and supply good customer service
to keep them. Today they lost a sell of a 3500 truck and a long time customer
just by not giving the customer service I once had with them. One of the other
local dealerships will enjoy having my money for a while now. I'm sorry that
I had to post this as they have always been a step ahead of the other dealers.

I am in the process of negotiating my family's 3rd vehicle from our local Carl
Gregory Dodge dealership in Johnson City, TN. My first purchase was in 2001,
a 2000 Durango. The sales and finance staff were willing to negotiate with my
trade-in to reach my desired payments and still purchase the vehicle I wanted.
This is the first time I had negotiated and decided on my own. My husband was
present, however, I was to be the primary driver and the staff valued my requests.
I felt at ease working with them. Our 2nd purchase was a 2001 Dodge Ram for
our son. *** I have taken my Durango to the service department for regular oil
changes and other services. The service department also replaced the transmission
(under factory warranty). That was approx. 2 years ago, and I have had no problems
so far. The service staff have always been very courteous and very attentive
to my concerns and questions. They always make sure I understand their explanations
and recommendations. I plan to continue having my vehicle serviced through Carl
Gregory service department when necessary. Thanks to all of you.
*** Thanks to all the staff at Carl Gregory Dodge in Johnson City, TN ***

Sales=Excellent, Service=Avoid,
Sales Department is great to work with. Service Department needs a lot of help,
needs to get some real techs and not these kids off the street. The transmission
work that they did to my truck was poor. It took it in for a seal leak and come
out with a truck that still leaks and has a surge at 45 - 55 mph. The dealers
service department said that it was the nature of the transmission. Its funny
that it didn't have the surge before the transmission service.
