Poor = Poor customer relations, bait and switch tactics, misrepresentation, etc. Would not return.
Avoid like the plague.......... dealership should be avoided............. say why in your comments.
When I stopped in to buy a truck....
Gee, " having a blow out sale....incredible sale!" says the salesman. We have salesmen in from all over, see all the banners and advertising! So I found a truck that would fit my needs ........I had mentioned "just give me a rock bottom price and I will purchase the truck".
Then the horse trading started........ I said give me your sales price or even better your rock bottom price.........and no dickering. They said name your price. I said I came in to buy a truck, you have a sale ??? What 's this all about well name your price? I said I prefer not to horse trade. So it's not a sale, it's back to just negotiating a price. well the it should be not referred to a sale it's the everyday come in and negotiate
.....So I gave them a price roughly 78 percent of MSRP they said NO WAY...and Said a few intimidating comments (TRULY A REAL PROFESSIONAL APPROACH). Intimidation doesn't work.. so I decided to leave ...on my way out there was the "wait a minute come on back".
So what is the sale price of the truck? I called back just to see what was the sale price...salesman says there is no sale price....HOW INTERESTING!!! Deceptive Trade............ ????

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Poor, Parts=Don't Know, bought there=No, scv_there=Yes, Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=No,
On 21 Sept. 04 we dropped off my step daughters 1996 Sebring for Transmission Service. We were told by Fred and James that work in the service department that the car would be finished by Thursday or Friday of the same week. When Thursday rolled around, and we did not hear back from anyone, we called three times, and all three times we were told they would call us back, that they had to check the work order ticket. On Friday we called back and received the same treatment, we never were called back. On Saturday, we called and spoke with James and once again, was told they would have to check the ticket, and that he would call back in 20 minutes. It was around 1:30 and I called back only to find out that their service department closes at Noon, and that everyone had gone home already. I left a message with the receptionist to have the Dealerships General Managers call me, which never happened. I received a telephone call from Fred this morning (27 Sept. 200! 4) for me to call him back, I returned his call only to find out that the parts were never ordered on time, and that the car might be finished today. It has already been over the allotted time that the service managers stated the car would be completed. The problem is, we made numerous telephone calls, and never received any type of customer service what so ever, if the parts were never ordered, all the phone calls that were made should have raised some type of flag. This is got to be the worst service I have ever received from any dealership service department.

I have bought two trucks from this dealer and have had no problems. Co-workers have also bought 3 trucks from them. Never a problem with service or sales.

Sales=Fair, Service=Poor,
To add to another person's survey .... I agree their service department has its problems. They have lost all of their Chrysler experienced technicians. The guys they have now are decent but fairly new to the brand. I also agree about the shady dealings. There was an inexperienced technician there named Chris that got fired because of the people in the parts department, Preston and Daniel. They caught him in a lie about the mileage on his own personal Dodge Durango that he was trying to replace the window regulators on. His vehicle was out of warranty and he tried to lie to get them replaced all because there was a new part #. Not just that, since he was the technician he was trying to get paid for the warranty labor from Chrysler. Talk about shady!!! I hear he works for RM car care center now. I hope they can afford to lose customers because he can't diagnose very well. He just keeps replacing parts until the problem is fixed.

Excellent, Service=Excellent,
Hi, this is Daniel, the rude S.O.B., formally the parts and service director of Atascosa Chrysler. I was told about this site by a close friend of mine, Preston, you know the tobacco user. (see the 09 Jul 2002 post below for these references) The derogatory email concerning Preston & myself comes as no surprise considering that the originator of the survey had a personal, unprofessional, experience with the two of us. She has no basis to drag Atascosa Chrysler into her personal matters especially when it reflects so negatively on a dealership as good as the one in question. Surveys should be limited to people who have an actual experience at a dealership, ie purchasing parts, getting warranty and service work performed on their vehicles, or buying cars. Personal feelings about me (ie terminating her hubby for false warranty claims on her vehicle, for example.) Should remain on an appropriate level. Atascosa Chrysler is a five star dealership with quality personnel that customers have and will continue to appreciate. In closing, I hope that the people that read her comments about me and Atascosa service department are not deterred from having a positive experience with this dealership and Red McCombs Dodge.

Sales=Good, Service=Avoid,
The sales department I have no problems with, they do a good job. The service department is the pits. There is a man there named Preston (although I have heard that he moved to Red McCombs Dodge, hope they know what they are getting themselves into!) that is very vile. He works in parts and when I went in to have my vehicle serviced he spit out his chewing tobacco in front of me, I asked him politely not to do that in front of me because it was very rude, kind of like blowing smoke in someone's face. He totally ignored my request and did it again and grinned and thought it was funny. Then Daniel in parts is a rude S.O.B., he ignores you when you take in your vehicle, (I heard that he also moved to Red McCombs). After standing there forever he finally spoke to me. He is under the impression that he owns the dealership. I have not been back since and tell everyone not to go there. They have lost all of their good technicians and I hope one day Chrysler will find out about their shady dealing. My advice...take your vehicle somewhere else.
