Dodge's are notorious for having the brake pads become glazed and then the rotors
become warped. Replacement is not under warranty. Dodge needs to address this
problem when designing their vehicles. Our brake pads are only 60% worn - but
we already have to replace them because of the glazing. Concerning Auto Nation
- we took our vehicle in 2 months ago complaining about the brakes pulling and
they said the brake pads were worn to 60% - so were still okay. We took it in
today and they are still worn to 60%, but now the rotors are warped and need
to be replaced. Maybe if they would've taken more time with the vehicle 2 months
ago, we could've resolved the problem without replacing the rotors.

Very poor salesmen! He was rude and crude. Service was terrible! They acted
like they were doing me a favor for being in their presence. Lucky I like where
the are probably 20 dealerships within a 50 mile radius. Avoid this dealership
at all cost. They bait and switch with their newspaper ads. They never have
the vehicle advertised. I will be turning them into the FTC.

I take my 2001 2500 Quad diesel in for service only. Has been a very good experience.
Service Marie Whitmore very good, takes care of me!!
Last service, I was going to walk around and look at new diesel models. Salesman
picked me up in golf cart. We rode around looking and I asked to hear a new
one run, no response, no keys offered. I didn't get to look at any close up.
I will just keep mine. You buy a Dodge to kill, no trade in value to Dodge dealer.

Recently took delivery of 2003 Ram 1500 with 5.7L HEMI. Contacted dealership
by internet first. Went to dealership in person, sales staff very courteous
without the usual pressure sales. Ordered new truck as this was only dealership
that offered to order vehicle to my specs without me asking them. Rest of dealers
wanted to high pressure me to buy from stock!! Closed on deal as they gave me
trade in price and stuck to original deal without hassles!! Great people and
great place to do business. I really enjoyed this purchase experience. I highly
recommend this dealership. I have not dealt with their service department as
yet so I cannot express opinion of service department.
Great place to do business. Make sales experience enjoyable and treat customers
like royalty and like they appreciate your business. I highly recommend. Autonation
Dodge - Grand Prairie. Keep up the good work!! Outstanding personnel and dealership!!!!!

I had taken my truck in to repair an apparent coolant leak. They checked the
truck out, repaired the leak, and within two days, the problem had returned.
I took it in for a second time for the same problem, and they repaired it again.
This happened a third time, it was fixed, and I haven't had a problem since.
Their quality of workmanship is lacking, and the service attendants aren't the
friendliest either. I had a battery replaced by them in September and am now
having to go back because the battery is faulty. This will be the last time
I use them, much less buy a new Dodge.
Dodge trucks are okay; however, their replacement parts are more expensive,
and I've had a real hard time finding a good service department. That's reason
enough for me to avoid them in the future.

Sales=Fair, Service=Avoid,
Took truck in for 1st free oil change and paid to have tires rotated. Also wanted
them to check left rear for leak. About a week later noticed that the same tire
was going low. It appears that they charged me for rotation and then didn't
do it. Took it back and they said they would do it and gave me another free
oil change. Told them that the transmission was noticeably downshifting when
stopping and the idle was kinda rough. They said to bring it in and leave it
over night and they would look at it. I asked about a loaner and they said that
Dodge does not give loaners but would rent me one for $30 a day. Found this
unacceptable, only 16,000 on vehicle. Got the standard customer service call
asking about the service and told them all that had transpired, they said they
would get with manager and get back about loaner. Never heard from them again.
Will not take my truck back to this dealership for any service ever again. No
courtesy from service people, they act like I ought to be honored to drive the
truck and I should just accept the fact that this was the way it was and nothing
is gonna change that.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Don't Know,
Take your business elsewhere, there are to many Good Dealerships to waste your
time with these people... This is a copy of what I sent to the Auto Nation Corporate
Headquarters (with No Reply, somehow that didn't Surprise Me)
"I would like to take just a minute of your time to let you
know what kind of Dealership and/or Management is representing your Corporation.
I have been buying Cars and Trucks for 30 Years and have never experienced the
type of treatment that I received from your Dealership.
I have been shopping for a Truck through the Internet for
most of a month. I live in a rural area and do most of my preliminary work through
the Internet. I found a Truck that I was interested in at your Grand Prairie,
TX. Dealership and went to look at it (drove 2 hours) Saturday, December 14th,
2002.
We reached an agreed price and I was going to seek funding
the following Monday. As I started shopping for financing Monday we thought
we would also let the Dealership explore their avenues.
By Tuesday morning we pretty much had funding secured and
in fact ended up going through the Dealership. As we were on our way (another
2 Hour Trip) to pick up the Truck the "General Manager" called us on our Cell
Phone to say that he was in progress of showing the truck to another individual
and intended to sell the truck to this other individual after we had reached
what I thought was an "Agreement".
I can only hope that your other dealerships operate with a
higher standard of ethics than this particular dealership. I had heard many
bad things about Auto Nation in general but I don't necessarily believe everything
I hear, so I thought I would give you a try. I guess in this case I should have
listened to feedback that I had received.
Where I was raised an Agreement is your word and your word
is binding. I have dealt with other dealerships regularly over the last 30 years
and will soon return to these dealerships that have always been fair & honest.
I have learned through this experience that the relationships
that I have built within the auto industry over the last 30 years mean more
to me now than they did before my encounter with your dealership.
My biggest problem ( I can almost understand your unethical
management team, unfortunately that's not unusual these days) but for these
guys to have accessed my Credit for no reason really burns me up.
I will offer my word to you and your Corporation, every chance
I get, I will make sure that every potential customer that I come in contact
with will fully understand how unethical this dealership is in their practices.
I will start with the local Better Business Bureau and every
Consumer Interest Web Site I can find through the Internet. I do know that this
dealership, will, in time, fail, for in Texas, we consider our word a binding
agreement."

Sales=Avoid, Service=Avoid, bought there=No,
sales is deceptive, will not look at your trade until they pull your credit
report to see how much money you can pay per month. Avoid service at all costs,
took truck in for vacuum pump oil leak, tech left a mounting bolt out of pump,
service advisor didn't know anything, took me back to the tech who said well
he would try to find a bolt he had and he really wasn't surprised he left it
out because he doesn't know how to work on diesels. I know no one who has had
a good service experience from this dealership.

Sales=Good, Service=Avoid,
Overall, it was a good experience sales wise but the quality and service department
is terrible. I have recently purchased 3 vehicles from here and I have had MANY
broken promises. The employers do not know how to keep their word as well as
their promises to warranty care, for example, I have taken my truck up there
more than 5 times and they don't want to fix it because they say it is not under
warranty. I don't understand this because of the fact I have risked my job because
of the times they have told me to come up there and they will fix my truck,
I have seen no work. I have talked to 3 previous sales people and they keep
telling me "we don't have time today, but I PROMISE I will or we can take care
of your problem next time" This is horrible service from my part. I have been
told that I will get my truck fixed 6 times within the last 5 months and I still
am yet to see a difference in the appearance of my vehicle. I believe that if
you need something then it need s to be fixed. Thank you for your time and I
hope you read this very carefully and I am hoping that my next experience there
will be better. I too hope that no other customers will experience this HORRIBLE
facility.
The frame of the truck is already wearing out. The shocks already need to be
replaced. The truck is 3 years old and there is absolutely no need for all these
problems on a brand new vehicle. We have had to pay for EVERY SERVICE that the
vehicle has needed and the truck is under WARRANTY until 36,000 miles and we
are only at 32,000 miles. I believe that these issues need to be taken care
of not out of my pocket, but out of the companies. This is why I paid 27,000
dollars for this vehicle.

Sales experience really good, service experience, straight from a horror movie.
Service people are not helpful and are not friendly, , will not return phone
calls, have attitude if it's not easy to fix just insist the problem doesn't
exist. . Will use another dodge service department from now on.
