I dropped my Ram 1500 of on a saturday for service and to have them install the fog lights in the bumper. Well after receiving my vehicle I noticed that the fog lights only worked with the low beam lights on. Granted it was not a big issue but when I called them on Monday to see if I could have them work with the parking lights as well. The individual that I spoke with told me that that was they were designed at the manufacturer and that all Dodge vehicles work that way. When I informed him that my boss has a Ram 3500 and that his fog lights work with the parking lights, I was then told that it was because of the different model and that on Jeeps and 1500 are designed to work differently. I then informed him that a co-workers have jeep liberty and numerous 1500 and the all have fog lights that work with the parking lights. Then he stated that he would get with the installer and call me back. He never called back! I called him back after several hours of waiting! No get this i'm not stupid but the service guy thought I was. I told him that when they installed the fog lights that the installer spliced into the wiring harness and connected the hot wire of the fog lights to the hot wire for the low beams instead of the parking lights. He then assured me that they do not splice into existing wiring harness that everything is connected by existing cannon plugs. I asked how can you explain it that the original light switch in the cab has to be on before power is provide to the switch to turn on the fog lights. He could not explain it. When I told him that I was going to look at it to see how it was wired his voice changed and was adamant that I do not look into it. Well needless to say they had indeed spliced into the wiring harness or should I say cut the wire insulation away and wrapped the wire for the fog light around it. If this is how they conduct business with something as simple as fog lights then imagine if it was something mo! re complicated. Will never do business there again.
Very nice vehicle but it won't stay that way if dodge country continues to service it

05experience=I took my truck in for a service and was charged $250 that was covered in my warranty and the problem was still not fixed. Took it back and the problem was still not fixed. Called warranty and they sent me to Pontiac dealer service and they fixed it with no charge. Dodge took $250 and fixed nothing.

I bought a new 2005 Chrysler 300 Touring on May 9, 2004 and have to go to Dodge Country in TX, for all my warranty service. I have been to this dealership eight times for five different warranty covered defects. Most of the time the dealership has to order parts which takes a few
days. On 12-22-05 I had a driver side airbag malfunction and took it to the dealership who advised they fixed the problem the same day and returned the vehicle to me. The next day the driver side airbag malfunctioned again I returned the vehicle to the dealership and was told they could not fix the vehicle until 12-30-05 because they needed a part. My warranty includes a rental vehicle but they refused to give me one because they said the vehicle was still operative and I could drive it. They also said if the airbag deploys while I'm operating the vehicle they would not be responsible for any injuries or accidents it may cause. So, for the Christmas Holidays I had no vehicle. On 01-18-05 the ABS,electronic stabilization light comes and the vehicle makes a loud squeaking and rattling noise from the rear and the drivers side rear window would not roll down. I contact the dealership and they state they can not check the vehicle until 01-23-05. So once again the vehicle sits parked until the dealership can pick it up. Good money Bad car and a dealership that don't like to do warranty work.

I took our Dodge 1500 truck in for some warranty work to be done, and to have the oil changed. The ash try wouldn't open, the cup holder was not functioning correctly, the driver's seat was ripping, the windshield wiper cowling was flapping, and the Hemi emblem on the front right of the truck fell off. The cowling had been looked at by another dealer, and I advised the service department that this was done. They found double-sided tape under the cowling and determined it wasn't covered by warranty - I have the service report from the other dealer. They claim they changed the oil, but didn't replace the reminder sticker inside on the windshield - did they or didn't they??? The Hemi emblem cost me $26.46 to replace. They ordered a new seat cover, but never followed up when I could get the repair done. The ashtray had something stuck behind it and they charged me $32.50 to take it out and put it back in. The cup holder has an upgrade and was ordered, but I've never been contacted to have this taken care of.
The problems I've encountered are minute to say the least, but it's still warranty work that needs to be taken care of. The Hemi emblem, in my opinion, should have been replaced at no cost as this was part of the vehicle when we purchased it. Removing and ashtray and reinstalling it and charging an hour of labor is ridiculous.

Traded my old dodge in for a newer model dodge. The second day the windshield wipers quit working and was told it would take a week to get an appointment although it was raining heavily that day. Then I accidentally ran over a huge screw which flattened mt drivers side rear tire. I was charged the "Dealer" costs which is the same if I just brought it new at discount tires. To top things off they call me a month later to tell me they underestimated my payoff and I owe them $500! Avoid these crooks if at all possible. I am ashamed to say I grew up in a town where there are unethical sales going on. The thing about it that makes it bad is the salesman knew but hid it, and said don't worry about it basically. I will NEVER do business with them again, and will ensure are subordinates at work know not to do business with them.
My overall concern was the need for the quick sale, and the shock of them calling and telling me i owe them for their mistake. Totally unprofessional!!!

Took my Durango to Dodge Country about a month ago....terrible service department, very unfriendly, they acted like I was a burden to them! Never fixed the rattling sound in my door. A couple of weeks ago, I stopped in to their showroom and asked to test drive a new Durango.
Basically, they told me I had to fill out a credit application before I could drive. I left and drove to Mac Haik Dodge in Temple, about 30 miles away. Completely different scenario, very professional and friendly, and never asked me about my credit. I drove home in my new 2004 Durango four wheel drive within one hour. Dodge Country could use some training on customer service.

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Poor, Parts=Don't Know, bought there=No, scv_there=Yes, Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=Yes,
My husband and I bought our Ram 1500 back in July 2003 from Marshall Motors in Hempstead, Texas, almost an hour and a half drive from our home. In August of 2004 the ABS light came on, followed later that day by the brake light. Well, my husband called Dodge Country in Killeen, Texas to schedule an appointment to have it looked at. The woman he spoke with on the phone said that our extended service contract would be acceptable and to bring the truck in on Thursday morning.
We arrived at the service department at 7:30 am to drop off the truck. When my husband went to speak to let the service clerk know that we were there to drop off the vehicle and to show her his service contract, he was informed that Dodge Country would not accept our extended warranty and we would have to pay the amount of the repair. We called the warranty company and were advised that Dodge Country would need only to fax a copy of the work order and the warranty company would reimburse Dodge Country. The representative from the warranty company advised that as long as the work order was received by the warranty company by 3:00pm Dodge Country would be paid the same day.
After much debate with the service department, we were able to come to the agreement that Dodge Country would do the work on our truck, but we would not be able to pick up the truck until Dodge Country had received confirmation of payment. From 1:00pm until 5:45pm my husband called every half hour to the warranty company to determine if the work order had been faxed. After multiple calls to both the warranty company and Dodge Country, we were able to get confirmation of payment. At 5:45pm we contacted the service department at Dodge Country to determine if they had received the confirmation
of payment. The woman that we spoke to was less than helpful, and told us that as long as we were at the dealership by 6:00pm that we could have the truck. We told her that we were on our way (we live 5 minutes from the dealership) and she repeated, "well you have to be here by six"
When we arrived to pick up the truck. The woman behind the counter at the service desk was less than attentive. She acted a though we were inconveniencing her by being there to pay our $100 deductible and pick up our vehicle. She answered her cell phone, failed to make eye contact, and except for asking for our signature said nothing.
I was very displeased with the service department at Dodge Country. As stated in this forum, you can find always find a better deal on the price for a truck. To me what matters is service after the sale. My husband and I were in the market for a new Jeep Cherokee to replace my Chevy Malibu, and being that Dodge Country is also our local Jeep dealer, we assumed we would be buying from them. However, after this experience I became well educated in what Dodge Country calls "Service" and as a result we bought our new Cherokee from Temple Lincoln Mercury Chrysler Jeep.
A final note about Dodge Country: we turned in a survey card about a week after the incident. We were not contacted until my husband went by and talked to someone over a week after the card was turned in.
My family is a big Chrysler family, so I know a good Dodge house when I see one, and this is one of the worst I have ever dealt with.

Three times I dealt with the service department and all three were very unpleasant. The final time the service manger wanted to do work on my truck, that later I found out wasn't really a problem. I don't know if the service manager and one of the mechanics are working together but I know I won't be dealing with them anymore.

This was the worst experience of my life. I brought my truck in for work before my warranty ran out. My extended warranty is through first extended. Dodge Country diagnosed my front end saying I needed bushings and tie rod ends. They said it would cost me $500 over a beyond my warranty cuz they are more concerned with making 100% profit than trying to help the customer out. Then I had a leak on my rear differential. They of course said my warranty company required me to pay the up front $125 breakdown fee. Then they took it apart. Said the same old story again. Said now it would cost me another $600 over a beyond my warranty. I wrote a email to their upper management and told them they needed to work better with my warranty company. Their email halted all work. In the meantime the service advisor never called me in 5 days to tell me anything. He said they were able to get a few more hours approved for the job. Now the total will only be 1200 bucks???? Pricing is changing constantly. I was soo pissed and soo far into job...2 weeks mind you....that I told them to put the thing back together. I paid them 700 bucks and drover it to another dealer who was more than willing to work with me. They called and I found out that my warranty would not be covered for the rear end unless I showed maintenance records for it. Dodge Country of Killeen, TX never told me that. I suppose that is why the price kept rising. They made me think my warranty was covering part of it the whole time when in fact it wasn't. They tried to hook me for the whole bill. This company had no communication with me unless I pursued it and was very dishonest during the whole procedure. I am thinking of writing to the BBB and the Attorney General on this one.

Seems every time I go to the service department, something bad happens. I bought a 1999 Dodge Diesel pickup in a different town (was working there at the time). My old truck broke down and didn't have much choice where I bought, needed it ASAP. My first experience was for body work. When I picked up the truck, I discovered that some of the replacement parts were not installed. Later, I had the truck in for the required transmission fluid and filter change. When I picked up the truck, I asked if the bands on the auto trans were adjusted. I was told that there was no adjustment to be made on that trans. I later found out that was wrong. When I picked up my truck from that experience, I noticed the right rear side panel was scratched. They eventually repainted it. I had the truck serviced for a vehicle speed sensor (twice). The engine code was not reset and they charged me 50.00 extra for that. Nothing I said made any difference, they still charged me. On my last visit (map sensor) they leaned on my trailer brake control and broke the case. Never said nothing to me, just tried to put it back so it wouldn't be noticed. Which probably would have been ok except it quit working. Eventually got that fixed. The replaced map sensor went out again with less than 300 miles on it. Had to take it to a different dealer in Aransas Pass to have it replaced again. This same service department used vice grips or pipe wrenches on my battery terminals. What about the right tool for the right job? I discussed my first bad experiences with the owner of the dealership and his attitude was as bad as his service. I would definitely advise anyone in the Killeen area to steer away from Dodge Country and head for Temple, Lampasas, Austin or anywhere else away from there. It doesn't have to be that way, the service I received in Aransas Pass was the best ever. Those folks were caring, quick response, and highly professional. The work they did on my truck was warranty work but they treated me like I was one of their best customers. It just might steer me their way when it comes time to trade this truck in.
I have been to Dodge Country's old location and the new location. The building and location changed but the service department is still the same. UNSATISFACTORY.

I had an oil pressure problem with my Ram Van 1500. The oil pressure gauge was shutting off and the red check gauges light was coming on. The engine would start to tick and lose power. When I took it in they kept it a week and changed the sending unit and my air filter. The dog house was installed improperly and the breather tube from the valve cover was not attached to the air cleaner. There was so much exhaust coming in the van that my entire family almost had to be admitted because of carbon monoxide poisoning. When I took it back the following Monday they took it for another week and changed out the oil pump (which I had been telling them was more than likely the problem). They covered the labor for the job, but not the rental vehicle that I had to get from them for a total of two weeks at this point. After getting the van back there was a loud clunking noise and the engine seemed to be running rough. The dealership once again kept the vehicle for an entire week just to tell me Friday night that they could not duplicate the problem. I got it to do it just pulling out of their driveway! I finally took it to Firestone where they found the motor mounts so loose that they gave it more than five turns by hand before putting a socket wrench to it! They also found a spark plug wire sliced in half. Thinking this was the end of my problems less than 18 months later I am replacing the oil pump again! When the oil pan was dropped they discovered that the pick-up tube, the screen and the gasket to the engine block was not installed! In addition when Dodge country lifted the engine they did not disconnect the transmission so I had to pay to have the rear main seal to be replaced. Altogether they have cost me over $1400 in repairs and rentals! That is not including the fuel pump, window leaks, alignment nightmares, etc! Don't go there for any kind of service! Not ever basic maintenance!
I am greatly disappointed in the service and customer relations. Maybe Dodge can take some classes from Saturn, or Honda, or Toyota, or just about anyone. It would take a lot of convincing for me to buy another Chrysler product anytime soon.

brought my 2001 Dodge Ram in for a rattle in the transmission lines (manufacturer problem), my truck is still under warranty and this is a warranty fix, was told by Dodge Country that they WOULD NOT touch my truck because I did not buy it from them... I filed a complaint with Daimler Chrysler and was told that there have been numerous complaints of the same sort against Dodge Country and they would not recommend returning there for anything, (Dodge Country is VERY close to loosing they're dealership), was referred to Mac Haik in Temple and they are GREAT !!! if you want a new or used Dodge or Chrysler vehicle.. GO TO MAC HAIK IN TEMPLE, you wont be disappointed !!
Dodge is my truck of choice, but if Dodge Country were the only Dodge Truck dealer left in the world, I would buy a ford....

After the Dodge Country service department lost our paperwork for servicing our truck (they did not even know it was there waiting for service the day after we dropped it off), replaced a part with a lesser part (after we specifically pointed it out - prior to them looking at it), we reported our disappointment in the service work that was performed to the service manager. She proceeded to tell us that there are other dealers in the area with service departments, and we were more than welcome to take our truck to one of them, rather than returning to Dodge Country. (Which, by the way, is exactly what we will do.) Was very dissatisfied and will not return for service there.

Took my car in for warranty work. They were to change the cam sensor and seals because it was leaking oil, they fixed cam sensor. Got the car home and it was still leaking oil. Come to find out they didn't change the cam seals which is procedure when changing the cam sensor. Insurance would not cover it because it was to be done the first time, so they deemed the job incomplete. Ended up paying 400 bucks for their incompetence. They did nothing to right their wrong. They said it wasn't their problem.

My wife had a small problem with my truck while I was deployed to Iraq. A small coolant leak was the start of it all. The mechanic screwed up the cruise control and transmission filler tube. Plus they let my wife drive out with no coolant in the system, which resulted with the engine over heating and two cracked cylinder heads. After $1700 in repair bills from another dealership, I am totally convinced they have people who don't know their butt from a hole in the ground. And I can't do anything to get my money back. Don't ever deal with those idiots. I rather take my truck to another town then let those butchers touch my truck! Don't go there!

The service manager at this particular Dodge dealership literally told my wife they couldn't care less and, when I threatened to report the "customer service orientation" to the Better Business Bureau, said I should do what I had to do. It was the most amazing experience I've ever had in the 15 years since I've been dealing with Dodge. This particular dealership is right outside Fort Hood so they deal with a lot of transient soldiers. As a veteran of 13 years, it really upsets me to think this is the level of service these folks can expect from "their hometown Dodge dealership". All this over a $65 diagnostic charge that they mistakenly charged us twice to diagnose the same problem...what a waste of a family who used to swear by Dodge!

These people don't know what they are doing. Took my truck there to see if the transmission cooler are still covered under the TSB. I was told "NO"! Asked if they order me new trans cooler lines, charged them to my credit card. Two later I was told that the cooler lines are not made or stocked any more. I found them a dealership in San Antonio. The other problem was with the catalytic converter. It took them over a week to get my truck back together and running. Plus I found all the exhaust bolts loose. I'll try to fix my own truck or have it service at some place where they will take my money. But I will never let those slackers touch my truck ever again!

I bought a 1998 Ram Quad 1500 form Bossier in Bryan, and since I lived closer to Dodge Country in Killeen, I decided to take it there for a minor speaker problem. The speaker located in the drivers door worked intermittently. Dodge Country's service dept accurately diagnosed the prob as a bad speaker, and promptly ordered it. I returned a few days later when my new speaker came in. The mechanic quickly replaced the speaker, and returned my truck to the parking lot. Upon my inspection of my truck, I found the door panel to be installed improperly, and the several of the plastic panel fasteners to be worn. I informed the mechanic that this truck was bought new, and he himself had removed the panel twice - once to diagnose the prob, and once to replace the speaker. I informed him that I did not expect to have my door panel held on by worn fasteners, and he needed to try it one more time - replace the worn fasteners, and put the door panel on correctly this time!!

I called the parts department 3(three) different times for a relay fuse for the fan this fuse goes under the hood. I also asked if they had 2-(two) 30 amp fuses the big plug in type that also goes under the hood. When I went down to pick all of the parts up of which they assured me three(3) times that they had. The parts person finally told me all 3 times he really never bothered to look as he just knew he had them. Some dealership, I think it needs to be closed down. If they will treat a customer like this that just wants to buy parts for her car what else will they do???????????   Bad Bad place avoid like the plague . These people do NOT want to do there jobs There are plenty of people that do need jobs and would be more than willing to work
