Bought 2000 Dodge 250 pickup 9-2000-new. Transmission did not work from day
one. Was put off for service due to transmission tech on sick leave. Waited
more than a year for service and finally had to go to another Davis dealership
in Bay City Texas. Still have the truck and have spent several thousand dollars
-I have receipts- for transmission problems. Still not fixed. It is electrical
and Don Davis and Dodge refused to help. Dodge said that unless Davis was a
5 star service center there was nothing they could do for me. MAP sensor also
acts up and after I bought two, I was given two more under warranty and was
told that was all they would replace. Now I find that if I unplug the MAP sensor
and plug it back in, things work good for about two or three weeks and I have
to do it again. Same holds true with the transmission. If I unplug the alternator
while the engine is running, it will then shift fine for three weeks or so and
I have to do it all over a! gain. The electronics on this truck suck. I have
bought another truck -2004- but with a 6 speed trans. I also bought from another
dealership without even considering the Davis dealerships. They suck also.
Like the truck, like the site, Don Davis Dealership sucks.

Sales=Excellent, Service=Good,
The sales department was great. But go straight to the sales manager and save
lots of time. Service was very will to get your car in and the follow-up (2
weeks later) impressed me. But their knowledge of TSBs and their want to perform
them does not exist. Make sure you have extra transportation, they can make
some 1 day job last 2. I guess it depends on the mechanic you get.

Sales=Good, Service=Excellent,
I have had my truck in for failed A/C compressor, fuel heater wiring recall,
and leaking rear pinion seal (written up as recall. They got me in and out quickly
and fixed it right the first time each time. I'm very happy with their service.
