I purchased a new 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 from West Valley Dodge. My experience
was not terrible, the salesman knew very little about the product, and they
promised some options that were not on the delivered vehicle. We were able to
work out a compromise on this problem. My problems began when I took me truck
back to have a minor issue resolved. My tuck was stalling when I would come
to a stop. They identified the problem and said that reprogramming the ECM would
solve the problem. I dropped off my truck clean. I returned the next day to
pick it up and it was covered in dirt. The problem was solved but the truck
was filthy. On the way home I decided to wash it. As I was spraying off the
front end of the hood I noticed scratches on the front fender and hood. I immediately
called the dealership and the service department manager told me to bring the
truck back and they would fix the problem. I returned the truck and called back
the next afternoon. They t! old me it was ready for me to pick up. When I got
there it had not been touched. The service manager refused to speak to me and
sent some guy out to put some wax on it. He then lied and said it was just rubber
from air lines that needed to be cleaned off. I pointed out that it simply had
an update done to the computer and it appeared someone had something in their
pocket when they leaned over the fender. He did nothing to fix the problem,
and walked away. The service manager stayed locked in their office and refused
to even speak to me. They were closing, and I was able to leave a message for
the Dealership manager. He did call to apologize the next day, but said I would
have to work with the service manager to get my truck back and get it fixed
properly. I left a couple of messages for the service manager, and did not ever
hear a response.
Do not use their service department. My Dodge had been serviced at Hinckley
ever since with no problems.

I bought my Dakota Sport at West Valley Dodge. I was given the runaround, but
when I finally decided on the truck - it was brought out without any hubcaps!!
that should have been enough to send me away but I bought it anyway. Ever since
that day I have had nothing but problems with that truck
I will never walk into that store again

I wanted to trade my 99 Dodge Durango for a 2003 Durango, I went into the dealership
and picked one out.
The salesman I would say wasn't the most knowledgeable salesperson but oh well.
I had my Durango appraised (almost 95k miles) and they gave me a really good
bid. We were all ready to sign papers, but when I went over
the contract, I noticed that they weren't giving me my rebate. I asked the salesman
why I wasn't
getting the factory rebate of $5,000. He stated that I didn't qualify for the
rebate. I really
felt like they were lying to me. I go to another dealer and their quote just
happened to be 5,000 less
on the trade. I told them that Ken Garf's bid was higher by 5k, and he immediately
figured out
that they just used the rebate in the trade value. This other dealer even had
a lower difference
figure then Gar ff but I just couldn't get into the payment range. I've since
decided to keep my durango
until it's closer to being paid off. I firmly believe that Ken Garf's dealership
in West Valley are
shady to say the least.
Ken Garf. The "U" in Back-U-Up is Ken Garf himself. Watch your back
there.
