Received from Richard Lucy, Internet Manager of West Valley Dodge:
I have recently been brought on as Internet Manager at West Valley Dodge in West Valley City, UT.  I have become familiar with the comments people are reading on the site. As the newly hired Internet Manager, in just 90 days rapid changes have been made and I invite anyone to try our Internet sales program.  We have the fastest response times coupled with the best prices.
As far as the comments written - without names and phone numbers it is impossible to address each particular situation individually.  I can, however, tell you that we strive to show why we have been Utah's #1 Dodge Dealer since opening with every customer we come in contact with, both sales and service.  I invite anyone who has had an unpleasant experience with West Valley Dodge to give us a call or e-mail us (richl@kengarff.com) and let us know what has happened.  All e-mails and calls are forwarded to the proper people and are answered. Phone: 801.955.7448, 866.556.6710 (toll-free).

Mr. Lucy's proposal sounds reasonable to me. If you have experienced a problem with West Valley Dodge, contact him and see if you can resolve the problem before you submit a bad report here. And don't forget to submit a good report if you are satisfied! - Dave

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Excellent, bought there=No, scv_there=Yes,
The service department is awesome at WV Dodge. They have the best Cummins Technician and service writer combination I have ever dealt with, hands down (Eric and Lane respectively). They are more concerned about the customer and less concerned about the corporate BS that may occur in some situations. A+++++++
I would recommend them to anyone, and am trying to convince my father to purchase his truck from them. My next vehicle will come from them, no doubt.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Avoid, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes,
I bought a 98 Neon there with 22k miles on it. At about 32k miles the rear main seal started leaking, had it replaced under warranty. At 33k miles I brought it in because the manifold had cracked. The jackass service writer told me that I was wrong and that sound was normal. I know what a damn cracked manifold was. A week after the warranty expired, the rear main seal leaks again. I brought it on one last time to have them diagnose it again and sure enough, they tell me that the manifold is now cracked and that it's going to cost me 500 bucks to remove and replace it. I'm tempted to mail them the cracked manifold. Then the sales department, They stole over $1,000 from me. The asking price of the 98 Neon was $12,995. After about 5 hours of dickering, I got the price down to just over $8,000. I had to leave for work, so then they added a completely bogus service contract (Master Tech) tacked onto the sale price in the contract, then added it again on one of the other lines. I had a feeling that they did something, but I never knew (until recently) how to figure out the confusing sales contracts. They never did supply me (after repeated requests) for a copy of the original write up where the salesman and I agreed upon a price so I can show that I got the car for just over $8,000. They hire sales associates that are poor at English so confusion is very easy. I in no way think that being bilingual is a bad thing, just speak both languages well enough so that there are no misunderstandings. The dealership in no way tried to help out and they are THIEVES. If anyone wants to contact me, they can e-mail me and I will show you the sales contract. WEST VALLEY DODGE ARE THIEVES!
I dare someone from there to contact me. Mike M      monizuki[at]hotmail.com

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid, Their service department is totally incompetent.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Don't Know, Watch out, they tell you they will give you so much off the sticker price, but they don't know what the sticker price is and I got caught in a $700.00 add on that I didn't know about. Buyer BEWARE!!!! Went back to complain and they had some guy from Customer Relations there to help find a happy medium. They offered me a free oil change for my inconvenience. I won't go there again and I would highly request other buyers to avoid the place. Should have gone to Quality Dodge. They had a similar vehicle, but I wanted a different type of mirrors. Live and learn. Their motto is "Back-U-UP, my motto IN-U-BACK....

Sales=Good, Service=Avoid, The sales department served me well. The service department were horrible. I took my new ram in 10 days after purchasing it, with 5 little problems that should have been taken care of before delivery. They repaired 2 or the 5, and refused to do the other 3. I only remember three of the items, the first was the glove box was difficult to close, and they would not adjust it. I did after they refused. The rear bumper was not level, and they would not adjust it. I took it home and loosened two or three bolts, and leveled it. The third item they take care of was the tape was not removed under the cab, and they removed and cleaned that. Their service is horrible, and the service manager is the problem there.

Good, Service=Avoid, Love my truck, and the sales department was great until I had problems with the service department. Service dept. was very bad. Many unresolved problems. Truck was on a dealer trade, and it was never prepped. Still had stickers that informed dealer to remove. Many electrical problems, some still not resolved, after dealer cut security system out, and damaged many wires, and systems. Electric seat works intermittently. Service dept looked at it, but problem went away. Now it is out of warranty, and not working. Cruse control tends to speed up continually, or slows down. Fuel gauge broke just after warranty expired.

Sales=Good, Service=Avoid, Dealer caused most problems. For example, the glove box was difficult to close. The service writer would not repair. I am a technician, and repaired it my self but should not have to on a new vehicle. Many similar problems.

Dealership Rating:
Good sales department, good service
Fair sales, fair service
Conflicting or not enough information
Poor Service or Poor Sales Department
Avoid like the plague!!
Don't Know or No Experience
