Unable on three occasions to diagnose and repair a noise problem in the steering
column. Finally told that "the computer" would not allow for the fix
under the extended warranty, but they would be "willing" to replace
the steering column for about $1,000! No guarantee that that would fix the problem.
When I complained, the service coordinator suggested that I take the truck to
an independent repair shop.

I have bought five vehicles the sales staff of Bellingham Chrysler and have
used the service department for over 15years. I am very pleased with there knowledge
and performance. I would definitely recommend this dealership to a friend or
foe.

Sales=Good, Service=Poor,
The experience of buying the vehicle was decent. The sales staff are friendly
and seem to honestly remember who you are and all of the particulars. I bought
on a whim on a Saturday and they put the boots to me. I hav3e outstanding credit,
but since is was a Saturday and I wanted the truck I did the financing through
them at %11.5. Of course I refinanced the first week, but I really do fall in
the lowest APR category, and I don't know why they did that.
The service people are nice and they do actually work. Unfortunately I've been
to them twice and my opinion is that if they find no error codes, all must be
well. Concurrently I'm having my transmission rebuilt as we speak because they
don't really seem like knowledgeable mechanics. They are the type of mechanics
that seem to say, "If it isn't in the book or a TSB, it isn't happening."
If you have to have a Chrysler, I would buy there again. I wouldn't use the
service department unless I had to. Also I would avoid buying a Dodge again
because of the price and availability of parts. I've had to park and borrow
another person's car twice because of backordered parts. And the prices... Chrysler
would have you believe that Mopar parts are made of gold.
