Sales=Poor, Service=Poor, Parts=Don't Know, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes,

I purchased a used 2002 Dodge Dakota in July 2004 and bought the best extended
warranty they had. The salesman was pushy and treated me like a stupid, vulnerable
woman but I held my ground and walked away satisfied after having them knock
off $4k from the sales price.
When I bought my truck which is a manual transmission, I hadn't driven a stick
shift in over 7 years so when it kicked out of first gear while I was accelerating,
I thought it was an error on my part. The truck never did this on my test drive
and I also had my boyfriend test drive it for a second opinion. Over the next
3 months, it kicked out only a few times on me and my boyfriend and only at
times of acceleration so we thought it was something we were doing wrong. Then
the truck began to kick out once or twice a day, and I was almost hit by another
car at one point when it kicked out of gear while turning into a parking lot
off of a busy highway. I dropped my truck off at the service department and
after 2 days from not hearing from anyone, I called them to see what they had
found. When I called the service dept. could not find my paperwork and kept
asking me if I was sure I dropped my truck off at this location. After they
found my paperwork, they told me they needed to t! ear down my transmission
to diagnose the exact part that was faulty and that I would have to pay $400
out of pocket for this. When I purchased my truck, I bought the best extended
warranty available which included the transmission. When I called Daimler-Chrysler,
their system still showed the truck was owned by the previous owner and no sales
contract or extended warranty had been sent in to Daimler-Chrysler. This is
5 months after I purchased my truck!! The warranty I bought is not what I understood
by reading the contract and having it explained to me but that is another story
altogether. I have now been told that the tear down of my transmission is not
covered under the warranty because it is considered a step in the diagnostic
process which is not covered. I have also taken my truck in for 4x4 problems
and shuddering when I apply my brakes and was told the operation was normal
which I believe to be incorrect.
In short, their sales department treated me like an idiot and assumed I was
just "another dumb woman" and they also never sent in my sales contract
to Daimler-Chrysler. The service department was lazy and had no sense of urgency
or understood the concept of follow through. I have been without my truck for
a week now and I have had no communication from them, other than when I call.
They also never followed up with Daimler-Chrysler on my warranty covering the
tear down of my transmission as I was promised. In the past I have always taken
my business to Dwayne Lanes Chrysler Jeep in Everett, WA but I thought I would
try Monroe Dodge because they were so much closer. In the future, I will take
my business back to Dwaye Lanes where I have had good service and honest answers.

Sales=Good, Service=Poor, Parts=Excellent, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes,
Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=Yes,
This dealership is owned by Greg Rairdon, who also owns Rairdon Dodge of Smokey
Point, WA. I have purchased a truck from both dealerships and have had two friends
also purchase trucks from Dodge of Monroe based on my recommendation. My lift
pump failed on my 02 CTD Quad Cab at 37K miles. At that point I had taking my
truck to Monroe for ALL service needs. They did the "flow" test and
it passed, my FP gauge was showing between 0-5 psi. I asked them to check the
pressure with their gauge. They said since it passed the flow test, they would
charge me for the pressure test and would not warranty my lift pump because
it passed the flow test. Crappy customer service! I have been directly connected
to over $150K in sales and get blown off for a $150 part! I will not ever do
business with these dealerships again.

I was under the impression you had to go to Idaho, to get a good deal on a diesel.
My friend just got back from Idaho and purchased a truck. I thought I would
at least try my local dealer and the quote they gave me on my diesel truck was
better than what my friend went all the way to Idaho for. I was upfront with
them and in turn they were very helpful. I now have a brand new diesel from
dodge of Monroe and I love it. Thanks Terry

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid, bought there=No,
This dealer as well as Greg Rairdon are owned by the same Person as I had it
explained to me by the service manager. Took my 01 ETH/DEE in for a bad trans
and Greg Rairdon had my truck for over a month to rebuild the trans. After it
came back it shifted worse. Not able to be without a truck for the summer, I
took it into the Dodge of Monroe on 12/10/02 on the advise of the service manager
at Raredon. What a joke. He was building a case AGAINST me from the beginning
with statement like, shifts like all of them I've ever driven... We took an
02/6 speed on a test drive and it shifted so sweet.... Service manage said he
knew nothing about the shifting problems in early 6 speeds as well as he didn't
know there was a TSB out for them. Liar, Later he said he swapped out out for
a new one and it shifter worse than the first.... I actually made a preemptive
strike and picked my truck up earlier than they expected. There were other TSB
stuff they were going to do. I didn't want them to have the pleasure. Although
I haven't bought a car from them I would avoid the sales staff as well. Seems
to me that this type of service is a Culture with certain dealerships and not
one individual.

Sales=Excellent, Service=Don't Know,
I was looking at a 1999 Durango. I figured it was a little more than I wanted
to afford and after they came back with their "first" numbers I realized it
was out of my reach. When I gave them "my numbers" to work with I was surprised
- they did and needless to say I now have my Durango and love it. I'm looking
forward to doing business with them and hope it goes as well as the sale did.
