I was having misfire problems with my 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 with the 360 V8. I
kept taking it in just to have them replace component after component after
component. They replaced the plugs, wires, distributor, injectors with no results.
Finally they called me up after the 5th time it had been in to inform me that
it had no compression and that they needed to replace both cylinder heads to
the tune of $2000. Then five minutes later they called me back and said that
it would be now $2200 and then five minutes after that they called back to say
they had made another mistake and that it actually was going to be $2400. To
say I was upset is putting it mildly. Finally, after I went to pick it up the
bill was actually $2600. It was at that time that I put my good graces aside
and let the 'evil me' loose on the entire service department. As a result, the
bill was drastically reduced however after couple of days the engine began to
misfire again...with new injectors, plugs, etc.. I took it to an independent
mechanic (what I should have done in the first place) and he had it running
like a top in no time. I filed a complaint against Lithia with the attorney
general's office for fraudulent business practices; whether anything came of
it I don't know as I moved out of the area a few weeks after the incident. I
would recommend that everyone steer clear of the place!

Could not resolve sticky and wandering steering. They checked several times
telling me that the front in was within spec. I took it to mean that I didn't
know what I was talking about. After being more insistent, the service manager
worked with the front end mechanic to adjust the steering box but this did not
help. Service manager authorized replacement steering box... this did not resolve
the issue. Ended up trading in this 2001 on a 2002 from a different dealership.
I was very dissatisfied with the lack of results from Litha Dodge.

Sales=Fair, Service=Fair,
Service: They are pretty decent to your face, act like they care, but don't
give service much effort. Wouldn't acknowledge I had a rough idle problem, wouldn't
acknowledge I had a clutch slave problem. They did fix a leaky trans seal under
warranty, but that was obvious (took them 2 tries though). They also had some
flaking paint repaired in the wheelwell edges under warranty.
Sales: One or two sales guys are pretty cool (Jared) but the others I have dealt
with are pretty typical. They say stuff like "what's keeping you from ordering
a truck?" and are rather pushy.
