Poor AM Radio Reception Due to a Loose Antenna

Symptom/Condition:

Poor radio reception, loose antenna base, or excessive antenna whip while driving.

Repair Procedure:

This bulletin involves tightening the antenna base.

1. Remove the antenna mast.

2. Tighten the antenna base to 70 in. lbs. using Special Tool No. C4816.

3. Install the antenna mast.
