Repair Procedure:

The passenger and/or driver side power mirror is replaced under terms of the warranty.

NOTE: The following repair should be performed on both mirrors only if both mirrors create static in the radio speakers when the mirror is operated to the end of its travel.

  1. Roll the window(s) down.

  15. Pull the mirror from the outside of the door while feeding the wire harness, grommet, and connector out through the hole from the inside of the door.
  16. From the outside of the door, feed the wire harness, grommet, and connector of the new power mirror through the hole to the inside of the door, then seat the grommet.
  17. Secure the outside power mirror to the door using the three nuts and tighten the nuts to 65 in-lbs (7.5 Nm).
  18. Engage the outside power mirror wire harness connector.
  19. Attach the mirror flag seal onto the inner door panel.
  20. If performing this repair to the drivers side mirror, engage the power mirror switch connector.

  22. Position the trim panel onto the door.
  23. Engage all trim panel attaching clips around the door panel perimeter.
  24. Install screws securing the pull cup to the inner door panel.
