Models: 1999 BR/BE Ram truck
Discussion:
Some 1999 Rams Trucks are now equipped with an adjustable front fascia. This adjustable front fascia was implemented to make adjustments easier at the front bumper-to-fender/grille gap. By September 7, 1998 (MDH 090-7XX), all plants were building Rams with the adjustable fascia. In addition, service parts for the upper front fascia Pt# 55076610AB and the lower fascia Pt# 55076614AB (Non-Sport Package) are adjustable. This TSB provides proper adjustment procedures for the front fascia.
FRONT FASCIA ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE
1. Remove the plastic rivet that secures the upper front fascia to the lower front fascia (Fig 1)

2. Position the upper front fascia so that there is approximately a 3/4 in (19 mm) gap between the lower portion of the fender and the upper portion of the upper front fascia (fig 2). The gap should ideally be 3/4", but it is more important to avoid a V-Gap between the lower portion of the fender and the upper portion of the upper front fascia than maintaining the exact gap. There are ribs in the upper front fascia and the lower front fascia that will hold the upper front fascia in position (fig 3).

3. Attach the upper front fascia to the lower front fascia using a new plastic rivet p/n 34201631 (size = M 6.25X28).
