Overview:
Current DaimlerChrysler vehicles may contain any or all of the following safety
systems: driver
airbags, passenger airbags, side curtain airbags, side seat airbags, seat belt
pre-tensioners,
anti-lock brakes, electronic throttle control, or traction control. All these
systems contain
multiple sophisticated sensitive electrical and mechanical components. The location
and
function of all safety system components must be determined before performing
repairs;
including accident, mechanical or electrical, or vehicle modifications such
as adding an
after-market sunroof.
WARNING: ANY INADVERTENT SAFETY SYSTEM COMPONENT OR ASSOCIATED
WIRING DAMAGE/MODIFICATION OR COMPONENT LOCATION CHANGE
MAY DISABLE ANY OF THE SAFETY SYSTEMS.
Refer to the appropriate vehicle Service Information to determine location
and function of all
safety systems before servicing vehicle. All systems should be checked for functionality
after
the vehicle modifications/repairs are complete.
